Islero (in New York) "LIttle Hot Spot" March 26, 2008 - some foodie friends of mine just moved to midtown and suggested this new little hot spot called Islero IS LERRRO (roll the R). We always eat downtown because we r snobs of good eats but this one seemed to good to be true The place was packed with beautiful people. It looked like we stepped into a a really modern spain style lounge, they had an amazing dj spinning groovy latin house. The menu was gourgous the chef must have lived in Europe because this was not ur typical Midtown "tapas" restaurant. We started with some EL BESITO'S- cava, strawberry's and rose syrup yummy! Next we tried the "FORBIDDEN RICE" thats the best truffle/goatts cheese EVER!OMG i kept ordering like the whole menu each dish was so light and savory i couldnt stop. The beast part of the evening was this gourgous blond owner came over and bought us all these yummy fating desserts- churros dipped in hot chocolate, peanut butter spoons bla bla dont even ask if i needed a wheel barrel to leave...SIMPLY AMAZINGkeep it up midtown hot spot 2 people like this review - Recommend |
