Rosebud Restaurant & Bar
"Friendly good food"
June 14, 2007 - I give this place props for taking the menu up a notch in creativity, and for the nice, relaxed attitude of the place. Wine list could us some more variation (too many Merlots). I had a nice steak with a hint of truffle oil, other standouts were the copper river salmon/risotto special and the halibut. All very very good. Bottom line: a high end menu in a low key setting. I'll be back.

"Really Extraordinary"
June 08, 2007 - If you're going to eat here, order off the specials menu...while the nigimaki options are certainly up to snuff, the reason to go is to experience Kasu's artistry and the serendipitous provisioning from his suppliers. Some examples: Kampachi with ponzu and little slices of fried jalapenos, Maitake mushroom tempura, and the foie gras/maguro/balsamic sandwich. Kazu is King.

Cremant
"Geniale"
June 08, 2007 - Geniale is a french word that means brilliant, as in genius. Cremant is a no-compromise french dining experience, from the roasted marrow bones, served with sea salt, to the bouillabaise, the creme brulee and the extensive by-the-glass wine list. Our waiter paired up a bordeaux rose with bouillabaise, (geniale) and we finished the meal with valhrona chocolate mixed into a cognac to make  creamy little shake-let.
