Kabul
"If you haven't been to Kabul yet, go now!"
July 10, 2008 - You cannot beat the service and the food at Kabul. We always feel special when we go. Everything we've tasted has been very good. We usually order the Vegetarian dinner for two as you get a good variety and lots of food. The Baklava is a must have so save room.

Talarico's Pizza
"Very good, unique for Seattle"
July 10, 2008 - As a native of NJ and someone who actually knows people named Talarico, I am somewhat of a pizza snob. The slices here are quite good and of course, huge. The salads are also gigantic and the prices are very good. The service is friendly and unpretentious, something I love.

Daily Grill - Seattle
"OK, good location but nothing to rave about"
July 10, 2008 - Love the location and the space is comfortable. Our food was very good but our server had some serious issues. We ordered a bottle of wine immediately and after asking about it a few times with other servers, we finally got it after almost 30 minutes...yikes. It went downhill from there.
Not much else to say. My friends and I won't make a point of coming back.

Ama Ama Oyster Bar & Grill
"Missing Ovio but moving on to Ama Ama"
July 10, 2008 - I've now been to Ama Ama a few times and have been overall very pleased with my experiences. The first time, a group of 15 of us were in the Boom Boom room in the back. The service was good, drinks were excellent and I really enjoyed my entree, "Ama Vegetarian, are you?" Goat cheese polenta (So delicious) topped with a thinly sliced and ricotta stuffed eggplant rolotine, served with a roasted tomato, a generous portion of asparagus and drizzled with basalmic, a touch of olive oil and a few dollops of basil pesto, I couldn't resist ordering the smaller plate the next time I was there. Was it pricey, sure...isn't everything?
On my return, I had the pleasure of a sunny afternoon during happy hour. Oysters were great and our server was excellent. The bartender...not so much. Terribly inattentive and bordering on rude.
I will go back due to food, ambiance, location and delicious drinks.

La Fontana Siciliana
"Overlooked"
February 11, 2008 - I have walked by this place hundreds of times on my way to other Belltown establishments. Last night, my husband and I dined there for the first of many meals. We tried the calamari appetizer which was served cold with basil pesto, mixed greens, tomatoes and plenty of extra virgin olive oil. It was tender and flavorful. The Caesar was great (if not a little over-dressed).
Hubby had the Tortellini Gorganzola, rich and decadently creamy delicious. I has the Risotto di Mare which was full of calamari, small scallops and 3 large prawns in a spicy red sauce with the rice. Next time I will ask for more spice but the flavor was wonderful. Tiramisu was delicious and the cappucino rivaled any I've had in Seattle. We will be back.
