Hi-Life "Hi-Life" January 28, 2007 - Pretty decent wood-fired pizzas -- which were some of the best deals on the menu when taking other surf & turf dishes into consideration. The renovated atmosphere of the Ballard firehouse makes solid B+ food into an A- overall experience. Recommend this review

Baguette Box "At $7+, the sandwiches don't impress" January 28, 2007 - Flavors are only so-so compared with any of several other Vietnamese sandwich shops around the city, and for what you get, the price seems high per sandwich. Recommend this review

Green Papaya "The best Vietnamese cuisine in Seattle. Period." January 15, 2007 - The Green Papaya offers the best interpretations of traditional Vietnamese cuisine in Seattle. Starting with their banh mi (Vietnamese sandwiches-- which are a steal at $3.25-$4.25) and running through their extensive menu all the way to their excellent pho with the best broth I've yet to taste -- this place has all hits and very few misses -- unlike some highly overrated Vietnamese restaurants in the I-District. Go to Capitol Hill before you go there. Recommend this review

Sichuanese Chinese Restaurant "Traditional Sichuanese" January 15, 2007 - The spelling (correct Romanization) should give away the fact that this food is the real deal. Hardly any restaurant in the overrated International District can compare, and in Bellevue/Redmond near Microsoft, you'll ALWAYS find a convenient (and free) parking space as well. The (all you can eat) hot pot is the start of the menu. Recommend this review

Yeas Wok "Very good, but give us non-Chinese speakers a translated version of the Chinese menu!" January 15, 2007 - I've been to Yea's a couple times over the past two months. I am fortunate in the fact that my dining companion was born speaking Mandarin. But if none of your party is as fortunate, you'll be stuck ordering off the "American" menu, which has American staples like Mongolian beef & hot/sour soup. The Chinese menu is FAR superior -- Yea's, please give us a translation! 1 person likes this review - Recommend
