"Simply awful"
May 17, 2007 - This was one of my worst dining experiences in quite a while. The first course was passable, but the main course (scallops with truffled bulgar wheat) was so salty that I could barely eat it. The service was bad as well.
It's my first and last time dining there.

"Disgusting"
January 14, 2007 - If you're the type that likes a little food with your salt, this is the place to go. If you like it the other way around, it's not.
The food here is oversalted to the point that you'll want to check your blood pressure after leaving.
The dessert selection is bland and uninspired. Most of the other food is boring.
The decor is awful, as well as seating arrangements. Sorry, I don't want to sit at the 16-person communal table, and I don't want my table to be within six inches of the next one, or sit next to someone (as opposed to across from) at a tiny two person table.
Hey, did I mention - don't bother going here...

Barolo Ristorante (Metropolitan Tower)
"Seattle's best Italian"
December 21, 2006 - This is the best Italian restaurant I've discovered in over ten years of searching in Seattle. The musroom "flan" appetizer was fantastic, the gnocchi cooked *perfectly*, which is rare for Seattle, and all of the sauces had fantastic flavor to them.

Brouwer's Café
"Excellent beer, okay food, high prices"
December 21, 2006 - The title pretty much says it all. Really great beer, and a nice selection (40 taps?), but the food is just okay, and the beer is quite pricey, at around $8-$9/pour for most of the Belgian brews.
I like it, and love the atmosphere (compared to say, Tap House Grill in Bellevue, which is a cheesy suburban joint).

Rover's
"Never the same twice"
December 20, 2006 - Having dined at Rover's a handful of times, I can say that it was never the same twice, and always amazing. The creativity shown here is really special.
The only downsides are the very expensive wine list and very high corkage in case you bring your own.
