Austin Cantina "Really bad..." May 16, 2008 - I don't really know what to follow that up with? Mole that was pretty much inedible combined with snarky service created anything but a winning combo. Hopefully it was an off night, but, I will avoid from now on. |

FareStart "Very impressed" June 27, 2007 - I cannot believe how really good this place is. Its a bit more trendy and fashionable than I thought it would be, but not so trendy that Average Joe Me felt uncomfortable. The lunch menu is excellent. I had a tuna sandwich with a side caesar, which happened to be a complete half head of romaine placed on the plate with dressing. Worth trying. |

Roxy's Deli "Their "homefries" are amazing." March 19, 2007 - Sweet potatoes, normal potatoes, onions, some cayenne. Man they are great. |

Le P'tit Bistro "I really wanted to like this place..." March 19, 2007 - ...but I can't. A group of coworkers and I went in for lunch on a Friday a couple weeks ago. The first time there for all of us and though you may call us naive, we thought we could get in and out of an empty restaurant in about an hour. Wrong. 6 out of 8 people there ordered sandwiches and soup. So that should have taken maybe 10 minutes to prepare right? The other two ordered crepes. Maybe another 10 minutes. It took us two hours to get out of there. The sandwiches were good, the crepes looked tasty, but soup was a peppery bowl of green water. Ok, you say its a french restaurant and the service was idiosyncratically french. Fine, but 2 hours? I was incredibly disappointed. |

Sutro's at the Cliff House (in San Francisco) "What happened?" March 06, 2007 - This place used to be so interesting. What happened? You let a little fire get you down and build some peice of crap on a cliff and pretend its got style? The old house was so much better. Way less stuffy too. I'd much rather head down the street and hit the Beach Chalet. |
