Latona Pub "unassuming place, great food!" October 21, 2007 - really great food, we were pleasantly surprised. we came across this place after a frustrating wait at one of our usual restaurants. |

Portage Bay Cafe "okay" October 21, 2007 - i had a mixed experience. when we arrived it was around noon on a saturday, and there was a crowd waiting in the narrow entrance. we put our name on the list and were told it would be a 25 minute wait. the host taking names was cheerful, but very spacey when it came to enforcing the waiting list. many people left and came back later to check on the list's progress, and he seemed a bit confused by this. when i saw the list, it appeared that he was jumping around the list when he was seeing people to tables. when we knew we should be next, he served the people directly after us. we had to jump up and tell him to check the list again.he seated us at a four person table even though we were a party of two, and there were larger parties waiting after us (if he was doing it more efficiently i wouldn't have have minded so much if he gave that table to a larger party).our server gave us the list of specials, including their pumpkin french toast (advertised as the best in town everywhere around the restaurant) without telling me that they were out of it, which was frustrating. i didn't feel like getting up to go to the breakfast bar after all this, so i ordered some standard eggs & potatoes. my boyfriend got a wonderful berry french toast dish, which was the saving grace of the experience. i would like to try the place again at an earlier time. i do want to finally try the pumpkin french toast. |

Royal Palm Thai "expensive" September 20, 2007 - a bit pricey for what i considered to be average thai food, but i didn't think it wasn't delicious. i love thai! the fried tofu was a memorable appetizer. whatever dipping sauce they used was definitely a hit with me. |

Sunlight Cafe "big plates, great coffee" September 20, 2007 - we frequent the sunlight on sunday mornings. i love the huevos picante. you get a big plate of delicious spicy eggs with your choice of home fries or black beans. i always choose the half & half option. really, do try the coffee. their staff is eclectic but enjoy of the fun of it. very laid back and truly a small town cafe feel. |

Boulangerie Nantaise "delicious mini pastries" September 20, 2007 - i love their mini pastries. we frequently get boxes of them for our partner meetings. the chocolate croissants are fantastic. 2 people like this review - Recommend |
