Calcutta Grill
"Specacular views accompanied by a superb brunch"
January 27, 2008 - Brunch at the Calcutta Grill (the word "Calcutta" is the old name for the city of "Kolkata") is a lengthy stomach-filling affair. We gathered a party--nine in all--and met for brunch at the Calcutta Grill.
The menu was varied. The cold section included fruits, cheeses, veggie platter, lox, smoked salmon, scallops, sushi rolls, nigiri, and so on. The hot section had custom pasta and omelettes along with poached salmon, roast beef, french toast, waffles, swedish potatoes, pepper bacon, and much MUCH more.
Food fit for a king at about (ballpark) $34/head for adults. I understand that you can eat outside in nicer weather. We'll definitely be heading back for the brunch again, I think.

Tamarind Tree
"Large menu and 5 dishes out of 6 were good"
January 25, 2008 - Had dinner there this evening with five other friends. Pomegranate martinis were really good as a starter (thanks Tysan) and the quail and spring roll appetizers went down well as well. Of the six entrees we ordered, five were superb and one bland. Would definitely try this place again.

Pan Africa Market
"Enjoyed Ethiopian lunch"
January 12, 2008 - The food here is good (Ethiopian mostly). However, I was disappointed because I was sent here by a Ghanaian gentleman that said that the cook from Afrikando-West African Restaurant (closed in 2005/2006) was preparing occasional dishes at Pan Africa Restaurant.

Ibiza Dinner Club
"Sat in the lounge / Didn't have dinner"
January 12, 2008 - A friend of mine and I had some appetizers and drinks in the sheik lounge area. No complaints. Appetizers (cheese platter and one other) were good if a bit pricey. Drinks seemed okay. This place is more of a fashion statement than a place I'd probably go to have dinner. I might be proven wrong and would be willing to try it again for dinner.

Inchin's Bamboo Garden
"Tasty Indian Chinese food"
January 12, 2008 - A friend and I were recently discussing how much we loved eating Chinese food in Indian. Think Chinese food catered for Indians that we already know enjoy spicier foods. Turns out that there's a place in Redmond, Wa that caters to this. Tried it for lunch a few weeks back and really enjoyed it. Sure, it's not as good as what you can get at a Chinese restaurant in, say, Kolkata. BUT it's a treat.
