Gangadin (in Studio City) "sub-par!" July 22, 2008 - My partner and I were very disappointed with Gangadin. First clue was the over priced cheap wine.   Second.  The mango chutney was terrible.... sugar, sugar, sugar.   I've had better "jam" from knott's berry farm packets. Third.  The vegetables in the curry were right from the frozen section at Von's.  The clue, aside from the taste, was the perfectly cross-cut squash and other frozen bag varieties. The service was fine and the people there seemed nice enough... that is probably why we couldn't muster up the courage to tell them they need to up their quality a lot more. Needless to say, we won't be back to Gangadin.  When it comes to Indian in LA there are a lot of choices. I think I need to start a quality revolution in eating out in Los Angeles restaurants. I feel that as important as it is for me and the thousands of others eaters that demand quality (organic, local, fresh) produce and ingredients in our own kitchen.... it's time for our local favorite restaurants to get on board.
