Wann Japanese Izakaya "Wann is my drink coming?" February 17, 2008 - Wann has good food and lousy service. I asked for water 5 times from 3 different people. The last girl didn't even know the word for water, looking very confused when I said, "more water?" Our japanese friend yelled out at the staff scurrying by to get their attention and since they heard Japanese, they would come to a stop with a big "HIE." Otherwise we'd be ignored. Prices are great. Too bad I was hungry when i got home. If you order a cocktail, you'll get it in 30 minutes after asking 3 times for it. The waiter apologized for the slow service, saying "The bar was really busy," or -- I love this -- "Japanese don't like to be touched very much and Americans very different." Whatever. I'm not sure what is so Japanese about asking for water 5 times and not getting it. 1 person likes this review - Recommend |

Ipanema Brazilian Grill "A Big OK" February 17, 2008 - Went on a Sunday and it was a buffet-only. Usually Sunday is a good feijoada day but they didn't have anything but runny black beans in their buffet. I ordered a caipirinha at the beginning and didn't get my drink for 25 minutes and asking 3 times about it. Each time they were very pleasant about forgetting about my drink. She asked if i wanted another drink after she said, "Are you finished?" Service was bad. Except for the guys bringing by the salty meats. Why is it that so many restaurants can't deliver a drink in a reasonable amount of time? |
