Prost!
"Dilemma...good or great?"
March 19, 2008 - Here's my dilemma.  This place is perfect.  Great frickin' beer, good people, and Brats.  If I give it a good review, then my neighborhood place my be over run by poo throwing monkeys.  In fairness to PROST!, they deserve a great review and deserve many customers, I'll just get there first to reserve my seat.

Impromptu Wine & Art Bar
"What happened?"
March 19, 2008 - This used to be an excellent little place with good food and good wines.  Sadly, the last time I went, my chicken was painfully undercooked (cold and pink), my sauce was "watery" and my rice, well, it was almost ready.  I sent it back, and pretty much received it freshly microwaved and still undercooked.  Being a chef, I would never send my food out to a customer in this condition.  I may be able to forgive if it came out done after I returned it, or if I got a fresh order.  Sadly, not what they used to be.  Our server was very friendly.  She was the only good out of the very bad.

Rosebud Restaurant & Bar
"A warm fuzzy"
March 19, 2008 - Not the way I would normally describe a restaurant, nor would it be how a restaurant wants to be reviewed.  The Rosebud is cozy, the drinks are excellent, the food is constantly improving and becoming better and better.  Most importantly, the staff is friendly and makes you feel like an old friend.

Red Door
"Excellent! Beware the WOO'S"
March 19, 2008 - I would normally have lunch and beers at the Red Door during the day.  The food was always good, the beer was always cold, and the service was always fast and friendly.  Unfortunately, it's like feeding a Mogwai after midnight.  In the evening, the Frat element appears and pretty much destroys the place and the neighborhood.  Guys yelling "woo!" constantly, girls who dig guys who yell "woo!", fights after last call, and vomit and broken glass the following day.  Sadly, not your fathers Red Door, but a rufie in the heart of Fremont.

Fu Kun Wu
"Tiny, good"
March 19, 2008 - Very swanky, very tiny, and you feel like if you just sit long enough, you may see Indiana Jones and Short Round walk through.  That kind of ambiance.   The food is good and the cocktails to match.  I dig it.
