"A little overated"
by turkbroda
(6 reviews) April 27, 2008 - My SO and I have spent many a weekend looking for a crepe restaurant that we both like. People told us about 611 as being the place to go for the best crepes in the city. Perhaps they oversold it too much. The place was typical capitol hill hipster scene and was loud and had a fun vibe. It was not that busy for 11AM on a Sunday, which surprised us. The service could best be described as languid. The menu was short and had very little to offer besides crepes- which was fine since we were there fore the crepes. My SO got the salmon and cheese crepe, a Nutella-banana crepe, and a mocha. I got the ham and cheese crepe, a small French-press coffee, and a bloody Mary. The crepes were eggy and buttery-pretty nice. The fillings were OK- the ham in my crepe was very salty and I could not taste the cheese. The salmon crepe was supposed to have cheese in it, but the SO could not really find it. But all in all they were pretty good. The Nutella crepe, however, was served cold, with a unripe banana dropped on top like a big white turd. Very disappointing. My coffee was good, the bloody Mary was nice, but the SO's mocha tasted "woody", for lack of a better term. Overall, not the best experience we have ever had. The food was "meh"-to bad, the service was "meh", and the price was reasonable for Capitol Hill. I am inclined to think we caught them on a bad day. Can't see recommending them based on this trip. 4/10 |

"Best Brunch Bite"
by BrianR
(24 reviews) March 26, 2007 - If you can stand the wait (put your name on the list and pray that people eat quickly) then this is the place to go. The crepes are fantastic, buttery, and rich. Great "locals" spot to take an out of town guest. |

"Cool, Hip and French - Mais Oui!"

(12 reviews) January 03, 2007 - This is one of the best values in Seattle. The food is decent (quite tasty, actually) and the vibe is cool. For under $50 (w/tip and taxes) for two, we usually split the foie gras (which comes with a small salad and bread) and a half carafe of house wine (two glasses each). Then we each order our own substantial dinner crepe (stick with the traditional) and split a dessert crepe. All this is served in a cool exposed brick room with candles on the tables. The tattooed and pierced waiters are all very professional and give me that "unpretentious city vibe" I love. |

"611 Supreme - Romantic & Delicious"

(26 reviews) October 27, 2006 - Great place to take a first date. Small tables so you can talk cozily while you wait for your crepes. They also have other dishes besides crepes that are truly supreme. The bar is also a great hangout on the weekends. |
