September 24, 2009 - Likes it - It's been decades since I've enjoyed watching food prepared on the flat grill right in front of me. That was on the east coast. This restaurant lives up to my expectations. An appetizer of tempura was delightful. The broccoli was actually cooked through, without falling apart or overcooking the panko coating. The other vegetables were equally perfectly prepared. We ordered three Hibachi meals. The soup was delicious and light. The salad was a more generous relative of the sort served at many teriyaki places around town. Cold, crisp lettuce with a sweet/sour dressing. The scallops and shrimp were grilled perfectly, the beef (ordered rare) was tender, moist, and flavorful. The chicken was a little on the dry side, but it was also breast meat. Hard to say whether the dryness was due to being over cooked, or just the way breast meat cooks on a grill. The final small dish of sherbet was the perfect finish. Can't wait to go back and bring people with me. |

August 03, 2009 - Likes it - everything from being greeted from simon, very nice man with the best sense of humor, to having ping, a tepinyaki chef flip shrimp from 15 feet away and hit friends in the mouth with no problem, while sharing saki...was one of the best times i have had in seattle. Highly recommend, great time, very affordable, and everybody leaves happy. Would be perfect for an anniversary or a birthday, or even a causal night out with friends........cant stress enough enough, too much fun 1 person likes this review Recommend |
