"Specialized fondue experience" by Benjamin Johnstone-Anderson (86 reviews)
December 01, 2007 - For those of us with less money than sense and not much of either, the Melting Pot may not be the perfect choice.  This is food for those who know what they are getting into or have a very generous expense account.  Fondue is the order of the day, and everything is steeped in it.  For fondue fans, the Melting Pot is a nice group event treat.  For those who aren't so enamored, it's a decent enough meal for way too much money.  This is an experience, and you pay for it.  There are other event restaurants, though, but if fondue is your thing, The Melting Pot is the place.

"quite horrible service" by ann p. (30 reviews)
October 21, 2007 - the first time i went to the melting pot was in colorado springs. the experience was wonderful and delicious, or maybe it was great only because my friend and i ended up spending about $125 for dinner and drinks?
since the first time was so delightful, i decided to entertain some out of town guests at the melting pot down in lower queen anne. we had alredy had dinner and decided to go for a late dessert. the place was pretty much empty by 10pm. we informed the host we were only there for drinks and dessert, which he assurred us was prefectly fine. we sat, waiter arrived and took our order. he didn't even bother asking us if we wanted anything to drink or water with our order. we thought he was just in a hurry and would ask him for drinks when he came back with the dessert fondue. he arrived about 20 minutes later with the fondue, set on our table, dumped the liquor in and left. if you have ever ordered any food item with liquor, you know the alcohol needs to be burned off. not only was this not done, even though that was what was specfied in the menu; but he didn't even ask us if we needed anything else.
we spoke to management and the fondue was redone. this was the only saving grace for this establishment. i would not recommend this restaurant, escpecially if you were thinking about entertaining guests.

"DESSERT IS THE BEST EVER!" by JVlovesgoodfood (10 reviews)
September 06, 2007 - If you're a chocolate lover and love fondue style dining, this is definitely the place to go. The food here is great, but the dessert is even better! They have a limited variety of the types of chocolate fondue styles you prefer, but my favorite is the yin and yang one because it comes with milk and white chocolate. There's also a peanut butter/milk chocolate one that's pretty good. Each pot of chocolate fondue comes with a small or large assortmen of sliced strawberries, chocolate and regular marshmallows, bananas, pineapples, cheesecake, poundcake, and cubed brownies.
