"Really Poor - Skip It"
by Urban Food Guy

December 25, 2009 - Doesn't like it - We looked and looked for a special restaurant for our family's Christmas Eve dinner and finally settled on Palomino. We were really disappointed. While the service was excellent everything else ranged from bland and uninspiring to overcooked. The marinara sauce on the capellini was thin and tasteless. The ahi tuna was dried out. The ambiance was vacuous and indistinct. We paid way too much money for an expensive meal without distinction. Palomino is part of a chain and felt like it. I don't understand all the positive reviews Palomino has received. Try Queen City Grill on 1st St. in Belltown for an authentic, local eatery instead. You will be glad you did. 1 person likes this review Recommend |

"Great Italian Food"

March 21, 2009 - Likes it - this place is a very upscale retaurant but the waiters and hostesses are very friendly. The food is very delicious. I love the herb buttered bread with the italian brushetta on the side. Had the spahgetti marinara which was a very generous portion and the chop-chop salad and both tasted excellent. have never gone here for drinks but would like to try them |

"Stumbled in to a Delicious Lunch"
by Vik B

October 21, 2008 - Really likes it - Went there for lunch on a Tuesday afternoon. The hostess was extremely friendly and got me a nice table with a view of the outside on a rare sunny day in Seattle. Had the lunch special for $13 - soup and salad. The soup was the Portobello Mushroom soup. It was one of the BEST soups I've ever had. The house bread that accompanied it was delicious. I also had the chop chop salad which was excellent. The waiter could have been a bit quicker in coming to the table and getting the check but the food negated his slowness. |
