"Love this place, but..."
by Brandee
(6 reviews) August 09, 2007 - I love love love this place. The food is really rich and the decor is like a French Pottery Barn. I usually head here for lunch, but managed to drag my reluctant husband in for Sunday brunch. Unfortunately, they don't have any high chairs...and I had to hold my wiggly infant in my lap while trying to eat the yummy cornmeal cakes. Needless to say I won't be back with family in tow, but if i can afford a long lunch (service is very slow) I will be back!

"Magic"
by jheitzeb
(23 reviews) June 07, 2007 - Seems to be a restaurant from another city that's been time/place shifted to seattle. Last time I went there, we proceeded to hit up several bars and become very much intoxicated. I blame boat street cafe for creating the mood to go do that.

"Expensive and just okay"
by BrianR
(24 reviews) March 26, 2007 - We were so excited that Boat Street moved close to our condo. Then we stopped by and were underwowed. Food was salty and just okay. Waitstaff was distracted and we sat for about 10 mins before anyone even swung by to get us water.

"As good as I remember"
by Ethan
(16 reviews) December 06, 2006 - I used to love the old Boat Street (on, well, Boat Street on Portage Bay) and was sorry when it got booted a few years ago. Just had lunch at the new location at the base of Queen Anne, and it was really good. The food was simple but delicious - I had a chicken baguette sandwich, my friend had the mac and cheese. And they've got the same white-washed walls and simple look they had in the old place. It's great to see this place back in business! |
