"Im a Douglas fan & wasn't impressed with this one."
by lala
(10 reviews) September 01, 2007 - The best thing about Dahlia Lounge is the coconut cream pie and maybe, the bar. I am a Tom Douglas fan-- Palace Kitchen & Serious Pie are both on my list of faves with Lola a spot for a yummy brunch. I do not think the menu worked for me and the food didn't taste up to par with what I expect out of a gourmet chef of Tom Douglas's caliber. Sad to say this, but this one isn't a fave. However, the coconut cream pies are amazing and great with a cup of coffee. I definitely love the Dahlia Bakery-- that place has delicious treats (including mini coconut pies). |

"What's the big deal?"
by Diner Diva
(25 reviews) July 06, 2007 - When I moved to Seattle years ago, a date took me to Dahlia Lounge - said it was one of the 'best' in town. Hm. Well, suffice it to say, the restaurant was far from that (and so was the date). The trouble with 'celebrity chefs' these days, is that the focus is more on the chef than it is on the food. Tom Douglas is a local hero, but after eating here, I really don't understand why. |

"Best Burger In Town"
by cameronf
(7 reviews) June 12, 2007 - It's funny - as a Seattle resident sometimes you feel like Tom Douglas is everywhere, and in some ways he is. And while this may be offputting to some, if you can get past it, he truly has some amazing offerings. Serious Pie is seriously good, the atmosphere at Palace Kitchen is worth going for alone, the mojitos at Lola are some of the best in town, and, as the title says, the burger at Dahlia is out of this world. It may be the best burger I've ever had. While the micro-franchise thing might seem offputting, there are enough highlights at each restaurant, and they are all different enough that it's worth the visit, particularly if you haven't been in a while. |

"Way overrated"
by OperaMan
(1 review) January 06, 2007 - Good service. Mediocre food. Worst flan ever.Celebrity Chef Tom Douglas hypes this place, where only the prices are five star.Steer clear if you can help it. |
