November 14, 2009 - Doesn't like it - The changed ownership about 7-8 months ago, staff isn't personable anymore and the food just isn't cutting it anymore either. The only reason we kept going was to see our favorite server Jen and for some reason they let this fine catch go! They kept the crappy head servers because they've been there longer. Will be surprised if we return again! Oh were oh were has our favorite Jen gone? |

August 18, 2009 - Likes it - Dinner at palisades is my favorite place to go to dinner with my husband, friends and family. Wins in my book over snobby salty's anyday. Crab cakes, wine, king crab legs..... So delicious. You can go dressed up but doesn't really matter if you're a bit casual |

"Only 1 Experience to Share"
by Ant

August 10, 2009 - Doesn't like it - Went here a looooong time ago with some local friends. Ambience was nice, although we didnt have a window view of the lake, it was still nice to see the water during sunset. I ordered a fish entree, it was very bland, nothing to get excited over. My friends had the same experience with their meal, as none of us really finished what we had ordered. |

"Sunday Brunch? Not anymore"
by cascadejunkie
(8 reviews)
April 05, 2009 - Doesn't like it - Palisade changed their Sunday brunch format. You no longer order entrees from the menu; instead, they have hot food available in the buffet in warming dishes. The only problem is, not all of the entrees that were on the menu are available in the buffet (no seafood wellington, for example) and the stuff that was on the buffet was pretty standard buffet fare; kinda boring, and cold. There were cold eggs Benedict and some scrambled eggs and potatoes which were not particularly good. There was also bacon, but it was undercooked and soggy, and the sausage was not the original yummy apple wood sausages, but regular, dry breakfast links. There were still the pancakes, but considering the new format, that's all they've really got going for them now. Those are some expensive pancakes. 4 people like this review Recommend |

"Great Birthday Dinner, Very patient staff!"
by Dora D.
(15 reviews)
March 12, 2009 - Likes it - A group of 10 of us went here for my Birthday dinner last August with two guests from out of town. (Miami) We had a wonderful night, great food, and lovely views. We were not the easiest (drunk) group to serve, and I was very impressed with the patience and service we received. My scallops and crab cakes were very good, the steaks were good as well but I don't know if they were worth the prices. You definitely pay for the view and service here! The ponds/waterfalls inside were lovely as well. Next time, though, I would rather go with just my husband than some rowdy out-of-towners! |

"Great on our anniversary"
by Olive
(9 reviews)
February 05, 2009 - Likes it - My husband treated me to one of his favorite restaurants and I was impressed. The pairing of flavors was unique and delicious. Perfect steak; flavorful and no masking of the natural meat flavor. I had a seared Ahi dish that I absolutely loved. They gave us a hand-written "Happy Anniversary" card too - nice touch. The view is very nice from most seats in the house. It is a pricey meal, but for special occasions I'd say it's worth it. 1 person likes this review Recommend |

"Aside from the price obviously, nice people and perfect view make a great meal"
by Angelo DePaolo

January 04, 2009 - Likes it - So the one time I've been, was for our engagement celebration. Understandably I was hyper-sensitive to whether everything was up to par for a memorable evening.Aside from the pompous blowhard behind us talking about how much he was disappointed in some wine and basically his general discontentment with everything, I enjoyed everyone we came into contact with. Very accommodating staff and impressive menu. Nice place for at least special occasions. Did I mention the perfect marina view(s)? |

"Sunday Brunch"
by Brandee
(7 reviews)
August 09, 2007 - Likes it - Family in town? Take 'em to Palisade for brunch. It's always the same, but it's always good and always way too much to eat! Service is spotty and one time when I went for lunch we actually had to hunt down a waiter (any waiter!) to take our order and again to get our check. They are super accommodating for babies though, and that always goes a long way in my book. |

"Dante's Inferno"

July 12, 2007 - Doesn't like it - Been to Palisade many times over the years. Sometimes service can be hit or miss. Last night (7/11/07) was most assuredly as miss. Took fiancé for her b'day @ 7pm and low and behold no a/c in the place. Outside temp 90+ F. Inside was approx 82F. Did not give much thought to the heat as we entered as you cannot really expect the entryway to be that cool given the outside temp. Once seated, it became apparent that the AC was non existent. I inquired to our waiter about the AC and he claimed he did not know there was a problem. This was definitely going to require some tequila as I am not fond of being played for a fool. We ordered, food was good, that is never really a problem at Palisade. I spoke with a busser on the way to the restroom and made the same inquiry about the situation and the reply was that they were not aware of the problem. Hmm let's see, employees working in an establishment that is consistently 68F every day of the year and the do not even perceive a problem. I am not a big fan of employee ignorance so I am a tad bewildered at this point. Upon exiting the restroom, I asked the hostess why am I feeling like I am having stroke or hot flashes. At this point, I am feeling restored in humanity as she informed me the AC had not been working ALL day. Although pleasant, she did seem like she was being asked this all evening and offered to get the manager. My reply was no need and that I could write the owner at a later date. The manager did come to the table and make apologies and asked for some "human understanding". I smiled without comment and we continued to finish dinner. What a mess of a place! 2 people like this review Recommend |
