"STELLA MIA is a rare find"

March 17, 2009 - Really likes it - I have eaten here three times over the course of 9 months and looking forward to my next time. The SERVICE is just that! Incredible! It's as if I had my own personal waiter, even though there wasn't an empty table to be had except outside during my last two visits. The Food is equally as good as the service. It's hard to understand how this place is so popular considering it's location, but one also has to realize that it is it's fine cuisine that makes this place so special. If you're in a hurry or looking for Fast Food, this is NOT the place for you tonight. Great if you are entertaining that special someone and want a nice quiet evening where you can hear that other person! |

"popular but not perfect"

August 03, 2008 - Doesn't like it - Since I have only been here once, I can't give a review of the many dishes offered. I was greeted graciously and led to a wonderful table by a window, which luckily proved to be some little distance from the two crying babies who appeared en famille during my meal. The bread in the basket did not seem fresh, nevertheless I plunged it into the mixture of balsamic and olive oil offered. The balsamic threw me into a coughing fit. I ordered a cosmopolitan and for $7.50 received a martini-glass sized drink. I know that isn't uncommon now, but it is disappointing. After that, my totally unremarkable Caesar salad appeared. It had almost no dressing and none of the flavors associated with a Caesar, not to mention the white ribby lettuce used. To add insult to injury, the croutons were out of a package, dry as sand.A very large main dish appeared which was a bit better than the former items although I found the pasta thickish and not toothsome. What motivates the use of extra-tiny shrimps I don't know--I never buy them myself. My companion seemed to enjoy his dinner a bit more than I did. He had the gorgonzola salad and stuffed shells. But he never once said, "This is really good." |

"Good Food - Fun Staff"

December 03, 2007 - For great food, its worth every penny, and they are not that spendy at 12-18 on avg. The pasta was excellent, sauces always dressed the pasta just right, and the staff was great. |
