"Great beer"
by Charlie
(110 reviews)
February 26, 2010 - Likes it - Stopped in here yesterday afternoon for a few beers and an appetizer. The beer selection is small but the brews are quality. Really loved the "Dead Sexy Scottish" Scottish Ale... honestly much more tasty than most of the real/scottish cask ales I've had in the UK. Great cheese dip, too--and loaded with fresh jalapenos (not that pickled b.s.). I also loved the building, and the service couldn't have been more friendly or more attentive. The previous review labeled it as "touristy"... I didn't get that impression. Next to the Chattanooga Choo-Choo, yes, but there seemed nothing touristy about all the old friends, business partners, and family relaxing and taking a day's steam off over a solid beer. I can't wait to come back, sample a few more beverages, and try some of their other eats. |

"Eh. Not Terminal, but not robust, either"

February 25, 2010 - Doesn't like it - Went looking for good burgers and beer. Found a touristy spot not far from the Convention Center and Choo Choo Hotel with decent brews and so-so burgers. We tried the been and bison burgers. Concensus all around was "okay." Nothing memorable. Except for the sweet potato fries -they were tasty. Oatmeal stout was decent. Small wine selection and smaller pours. Nice building, good staff, but as person who eats red meat only occasionally, I'd go some place else the next time for my red meat fix. |

January 17, 2010 - Really likes it - My husband and I tried this restaurant while we were up in Chattanooga on a business trip... We were not disappointed. The menu has a variety of entrées and appetizers for everyone's taste. The menu is very witty, and entertaining all on it's own. The 'brews' are absolutely amazing, and since we left, we couldn't help but tell all of our friends about it. Since that first time, we've stopped for dinner there every trip we've made to Chattanooga. 1 person likes this review Recommend |

November 27, 2009 - Doesn't like it - I was looking forward to trying this place on one of my trips to Chatt. I arrived after the lunch crowd so the place was not very busy. I sat at the bar and the guy behind it was indifferent to put it mildly. The food was mediocre at best. I have no desire to go back, not with so many other better choices only steps away (St. Johns, Bluegrass Grill, ect) 1 person likes this review Recommend |

"Good Food, Great Beer"
by Darth B

October 22, 2009 - Likes it - We arrived a little before the dinner rush, so we chose to sit on the second floor. The building is very unique and the atmosphere is great. I had the french onion soup and house salad and shared a pepperoni pizza with others. I chose the IPA to drink. The beer was outstanding; so hoppy and flavorful. The soup had great potential but was way too salty. The salad was perfect with the goat cheese and house dressing. The pizza was top-notch. The crust and sauce is really what makes it. One person remarked that it was the best pizza they've ever had. We had a new server so service was spotty, but otherwise fine. I recommend The Terminal Brewhouse as unique, delicious and casual place to go with friends. 1 person likes this review Recommend |

August 31, 2009 - Really likes it - I love this place. I have to agree that the Belgian White beer is amazing. It's one of the best beers I've ever had. I had the Look What You Did You Little Jerk! Sandwich. It was also really wonderful. I can't wait till I'm back in town to go again. It's top ten in Chattanooga on my list. |

"Bison Burger!"

August 03, 2009 - Likes it - Ok, this place has really grabbed a lot of the local's attention - including mine. The service is good, the food is good (i had the bison burger to name one of many wonderful selections of foods served there) and I like the layout. Parking is in the rear (to help you out once you arrive there). 1 person likes this review Recommend |

June 08, 2009 - Really likes it - The Belgian White beer is AMAZING. I'm not even sure just capitalizing "amazing" can convey just how actually fantastic it is. Of course beyond the beer the food is excellent too. Great burgers, especially the bison, and there's an awesome variety of appetizers too (we couldn't pick just one...for two people). The service is awesome too. And like any recently opened restaurant to Chattanooga, it's usually packed, but so, so worth a wait. 1 person likes this review Recommend |

"Consistently very good"
by Bobby Scarlatti

May 11, 2009 - Went back two more times. Sat on second floor which is not so noisy. The food was hot and very good. The sweet potatoe fries are killer. I would recommend a happy hour. The location near Unum and TVA would bring in more after work crowd. The crowds have dropped off so not as busy, which is good and bad. A place this good should be busy. I want them to stay around. Jemeira is a great server! Check her out. |

"no reservations"
by Bobby Scarlatti

January 30, 2009 - no call ahead seating and no reservations better save this one for when the weather warms up otherwise be prepared to stand in the cold for a hour or cross the street . Blue Orleans is great and usually no wait. The food was very trendy We had the stuffed sandwiches and sweet potato fries. Very good. Downstairs is very noisy. They need to add some soft material to walls and acustic tile baffles to the ceiling and turn down the music.Didn't go upstair so maybe acustics are better up there. We will go back but again go early. Or be prepared to wait. |

"Beer's to you!"
by Paul G

January 13, 2009 - Likes it - The newest installation by the venerable owners of "Hair of the Dog" is located near the Chattanooga Choo Choo and features micro brew, pizza, pub food and a great look. The terminal is a three story open atrium restaurant with a brewery in the basement and a soon to be opened "Beer Garden" on the roof of the kitchen. (More on that in a minute)While there are a few minor operational developments still under way (I recommend sitting on the ground floor to ensure hot food (I have been back several times and think they have overcome any opening issues)) The Terminal has kicked off with a very complete and tasty selection of dishes. The food is very fresh, flavorful and made with a selection of local produce and suppliers. The microbrew is good, the brewery is also developing itself and will only grow better and more refined with time. The look of the restaurant is open with many levels and a variety of handmade tables and seating options. While busy the restaurant did not feel crowed and will most likely attract tourist as well as local crowds.the beer garden which is the grass covered "sustainable roof" of the kitchen will soon feature the herbs and hops to be used by the restaurant to satisfy it's clientele. I give props to the restaurant for a bold use of space and attempting what many can only do on a limited scale.Good food, fun place, 6 people like this review Recommend |
