"Lost the vibe..." by iEatAtTheBar (351 reviews)
November 07, 2008 - Likes it - Well I have not been to Dot's since she re-opened in Pflugerville, so I stopped in for lunch.
It is not what I remember. The chicken and dumplings was marginal. I consider chicken and dumplings a dish, not a pot of dumplings with a wing and thigh plopped on top. I expect it to be mixed up and in (like Wildfire in Georgetown).
I wanted to go with the Chicken Fried Steak, but they were out (it was 11:45 and there was no line either)
The side dishes were good as usual. So I did give it a "I Like"
Judging by the lack of people in the restaurant others probably share my view as before at the previous location it would be standing room only at 11:45.

"It was so good it hurt" by Christina (1 review)
April 28, 2008 - Likes it - You know when you eat so much that it hurts for hours afterwords...That is Dot's.  This was the first time that I have eaten there, and it is a shame that I hadn't been there before.    With huge portions and comfertable seating, there should be more Dot's, like down town Austin.... where I work... hint hint... Thanks again Dot , I will be showin up soon.

"Best Soul Food In Austin" by Tanya Andrews (1 review)
April 28, 2008 - Likes it - This was my first time at Dot's, I've eaten soul food before but Dot's takes the cake.  People claim that they have soul, but when the owner cooks her own food, that is real love and soul in that food.  I plan on making Dot's a regular hot spot and to bring my friends and family.  Maybe soon Dot can open a restaraunt down town, every one I talk to says that they have heard of the place but havn't eaten there yet.  In short Damn good food !!!!
