July 12, 2009 - Likes it - Eager and a bit puzzled by Calgary ambiance we stumbled upon Escoba restaurant after a short flight from Arizona desert. The owner guided us thru the menu, and while the dishes were handled by the chef, he suggested some ideas for trips to the National Parks as well as for the Stampede city events (he printed maps and marked must-see spots). The food was extraordinary - especially the eggrolls and the tuna tartar. The desert was a tongue-boggling surprise - a chocolate-moose-something-heven. As with the dishes selection we happened to follow the owner's smart travel tips as well. We had a great time exploring Alberta as we have savored the unforgettable dishes' flavors. This establishment offers gourmet dishes along with a friendly and implacable service - highly recommended. |
