"Hard to beat" by Bernie Conrad (1 review)
November 09, 2009 - Likes it - My family started coming here this past summer. This little beach restaurant has some wonderful things to offer. The food is consistently good and the service is always efficient and friendly. The restaurant always seems to be busy-- and rightfully so. If you're a local or out-of-towner, I highly recommend you make a stop here.

"Beautiful view!" by Darlene Diaz (9 reviews)
October 17, 2009 - Likes it - This place is romantic and wonderful for brunch. Be sure to get there at a decent time because the wait is long on weekends. The restaurant is right on the sand and you can see the waves fall from your table. The food is standard, but the view is worth every minute. :)

"Good food, great location" by Andrew D (202 reviews)
July 19, 2009 - Honestly, the food here is good... but just good. My sandwich and fries at beachcomber were tasty, but nothing to write home about. Obviously, the best reason to dine here is to dine right on one of the most gorgeous beaches on earth.
So hey, why not do lunch here and enjoy the amazing coastal views!

"Best Burger in OC!" by Sally B. (4 reviews)
May 07, 2009 - Really likes it - Title says it all, their Kobe burger is pretty much perfect. The wait can be a hassle, so just remember to make a reservation and make your life easier.

"Literally ON THE BEACH!!" by Angela (4 reviews)
February 18, 2009 - Likes it - Love this place! The shack-like restaurant literally sits on Crystal Cove Beach. To get there you have to walk under a tunnel and it's nothing but surf and sun!! An awesome place for simple American fare and cocktails on a warm, California day.

"Great Beach Location" by Gina Q. (259 reviews)
February 06, 2009 - Likes it - I came here with a friend of mine. Her and I decided to come here for a relaxing lunch and walk on the beach one Monday. So we drove on down from Huntington Beach (where she lives) to Laguna Beach and Crystal Cove.
She suggested we try The Beachcomber Cafe. It's a great beach cafe that's very casual. It's a great location to eat and the watch the surf hit the sand. My friend ordered the tarragon cashew chicken salad sandwich on currant bread. She really liked it. I ate the artichoke and basil hero. What a yummy sandwich. I just love the combination of pesto and marinated artichokes. Both sandwiches came with french fries and appleslaw. It would have been nice to have the option of a salad or fruit instead of the fries. I also thought that the prices were a bit high for what we got. I think our combined order was over $30 for two sandwiches and two soft drinks. I thought that was a bit much. I didn't think that my sandwich was worth $11 or $12.
But at least afterwards I was able to walk off my lunch along the beach. The proximity to the beach is very close so you don't have to go very far. I think that's the best part about this place. The waitstaff service was standard, nothing special.

"BEACHCOMBER CRYSTAL COVE" by Linda Pezzin (3 reviews)
February 04, 2009 - It is so delicious to find this wonderful "escape" from the world. When you're walking up to the Beachcomber at Crystal Cove, the crash of the waves and the smell of the salt air just take you away to a peaceful paradise. Sitting on the patio of the Beachcomber and relaxing with a glass of wine and the scrumptious ahi tacos appetizer is heaven. Not to mention the menu of amazing dinners. Combine all that with the awesome sunset over the Pacific, and it is a true delight for the senses.

"DELISH!!!!!" by Danielle (1 review)
January 30, 2009 - Likes it - I would have never ordered mac and cheese at a restaurant, nor would I really ever eat it at home....but when my friends told me I just HAD to try it at the Beachcomber, I discovered the BEST tasting dish I had ever experienced. It has mushrooms and truffle oil and I was literally licking the bowl clean. Delicious doesn't even begin to describe it! It was a heavenly experience that I now often dream about! ;o)

"Love It!" by JaimeD. (5 reviews)
January 30, 2009 - Likes it - I am a bit bias - but I love this place! If you have not been there yet, you need to go - not only for the food, but a cocktail right on the deck just off the sand. This place is magical and anyone who has been there can tell you that. Great place to bring the out of towners and still a well kept secret for an early morning breakfast, Bloody Mary, and walk on the beach!

"Swordfish Taco's" by Paul (1 review)
January 29, 2009 - The Beachcomber's Swordfish taco are the best. They remind me of living in Key West.

"panoramic ocean views..." by Misunderstood Bella (84 reviews)
April 19, 2008 - Likes it - this place is really all about the views of the beach and feeling like your on an island somewhere in a beach hut enjoying fine company and simply good food. I wouldn't say that the food stands out spectacularly, but the scene does. It's about atmosphere. I love sitting out on the deck overlooking the water under a little umbrella in the beautiful sunshine of Orange County. It's a wonderful retreat, and crowd free. You may have to wait a while to have lunch here on the weekends. Expect an hour wait to eat outside. Brunches are popular here too.
