If you are one of those people who think. A wild blueberry and huckleberry are really the same thing...SHUTUP!! I can gurantee you have NEVER had a huckleberry. I have eatten wild blueberrys. Not even in the same ballpark. I was not called the "huckleberry kid" cause I ate wild blueberrys LOL!! I will give you a nickle if you guess my favorite falvor here? Bring everybody you know here at least twice, they will thank you later!

Fun Flavors!

Awesome local ice cream place that is beyond charming. I love the special creations they make with fun and unusual ingredients. Just this summer I became addicted to the Tipu's Chai ice cream that they would have every now and then. Frankly, if they added it to the regular menu I would probably never leave! The only downside is that there is always a line so you have to wait to get some of the amazingness that is Big Dipper ice cream!

Ahhh the Big Dipper. There are so many great things about Missoula in the summer time; hiking the M, fishing the Bitterroot and a Big Dipper ice cream cone on a hot day! We love grabbing some Big Dipper ice cream and taking a stroll down the hip strip. Big Dipper is one of those establishments that make you feel like you are a kid again in your home town. A very simple place where you order at the window and order your treat to go or pull up a picnic bench.

The ingredient taste so fresh, we have never had a treat we did not love. Though it's all good we recommend the chocolate dipped coconut ice cream waffle cone. The staff is always friendly and has a smile on their face.
Don't forget: Your dog will love Big Dipper too!

Local, delicious, downtown, and lots of character! Different interesting specials all the time plus the staples. I am a chocolate lover, and Big Dipper makes the only vanilla ice cream I have ever really loved.

Great local place w/ a great staff and delicious ice cream! Too many favorites to list them all, but I love the yellow cake, coconuts, and Cold Smoke!
