"Nicely Suprised" by BRR (5 reviews)
September 11, 2009 - The menu was a nice selection. The food was good quality, and nice presentation.
The prices were average for the quality of food. I would say priced fairly. Worth coming back to.

"Very nice stop" by MARK (84 reviews)
January 12, 2009 - Likes it - I have been there a few times since they reopened. We have had the spinach dip which was good and filling. The last trip there I had the Gumbo. The spice was just right and the portion was just OK. I guess I should say that the one complaint I had was that I thought the Gumbo should have had some rice. Well it did have some rice I guess they should have put some MORE rice. Such an inexpensive add to really make the dish and it is a shame that the portion control was off the mark. The shrimp and scallops in the gumbo were large and succulant, so this was not a total dis.

"I was pleasantly surprised" by Chris (1 review)
January 07, 2009 - I read a few bad reviews about the "new" Wrights and I have to say that I don't agree with any of the comments that were made.  My wife and I have been three times since October and I have taken two clients there as well.  Since the first itme we dined there, someone has recognized us and welcomed us back.  The seafood is exactly as described.  It's solid, tasty, seafood.  They are not re-inventing the wheel here, but they are providing a consisitently good product at a great price.
I read the previous PPG article about how the shrimp and scallops were too greasy and  I couldn't disagree more.  Wrights is great for what Wrights is... a local restaurant that provides consistenty evolving food.   I give it 4.5 stars   (out of five)

November 16, 2008 - Really likes it - I've had experiences ranging from excellent to mediocre. At a minimum, try the crab cakes. You won't be disappointed.

"YUM YUM" by MissPerfect7654 (1 review)
August 15, 2008 - Likes it - My mother isn't too crazy over seafood and I LOVE seafood, so I never get to go to seafood restaurants.  But one day we wanted to try a new restaurant and when we went to Wrights, the steak was just perfect for my mom(which never happens), and I loved their sushi.  Now every time we go there I get something different and I haven't had something I didn't like yet.  Of course, I always have to get some of their bisque.  And my mother always gets the steak!

"MY FAVORITE RESTAURANT!!!" by Libby (1 review)
August 10, 2008 - Really likes it - When Wright's reopened, my husband and I went to try it within the first few weeks. Lara, operations manager of the restaurant, came over to our table and welcomed us. The next time we went to the restaurant, she greeted us by name!  Needless to say, we go there frequently now, and she always makes us feel like we just arrived home!  Very impressive!
The food is awesome.  I am not a seafood fan, but the steaks are to die for!  I always get the filet, and it is always prepared correctly, which is a problem I have had in other restaurants.  I have never had to send a steak back here.  The salads are wonderful, crisp and fresh, and not your run of the mill salads either.
The side dishes are also things that you can't get at other restaurants, like the three cheese macaroni, and the sweet pea and mushroom sticky rice, both of which are DELICIOUS!
The prices are very reasonable, and the service is great!
The best part is the beer selection......they have so many different beers to choose from, you'll pass out before you've tried them all!!  A++++ in my book.  My favorite restaurant!

"Absolutely the best by far" by debbie (1 review)
July 30, 2008 - Dinner on the Deck was the perfect setting for what was a very special night,  it being my daughter Kaity's 18th birthday dinner.
The food was absolutely wonderful from start to finish.
The lobster bisque soup,  was absolutely smooth and delectable
The salads,  crisp and fresh,
We all had something different for our main course.
My mother in law and I had the Lump Crab Cakes,  they were all Crab and the sauce you served with them,  I'm speechless,  it was a wonderful blend and complimented it very well
My father in law had the Pub Platter,  I don't think he has ever seen Shrimp and scallops  that big in his life,  he had trouble finishing it,  the portions were very generous,  now mind you he didn't offer to share any of it in the beginning of the meal but towards the end,  when the tank was getting full he did.
My daughter really enjoyed the Shrimp and Scallops over the Tuscan Risotto,  I think all she left in the bowl as the parsley.  I even snuck a taste of the Risotto,  it was a nice blend of the best flavors Italy has to offer.  I had to stop and get her a Ribbon that said she was a Proud Member of the Clean Plate Club
Now my husband had the Forever Young,    he never came up for air or said a word until his plate was empty,  and there are times we can't shut him up during dinner
The desserts,  YUMMO,     Kaity had the Key Lime Mousse,  I had the Coconut Cream pie and my mother in law at the Almond Torte,  If I had to do it all over again,  I couldn't choose between them,  they were all very good.  And there was plenty to share   Kaity's vote would be for the Key Lime Mousse,  hands down.  Maybe next time a Sampler Platter
Even Today,  my mother in law,  (who is hard to please at times) is still bragging about how good everything was,   I think she used all her mintues on her cell phone yesterday calling everyone she knew to tell them about the wonderful food and experience she had at Wrights Seafood Inn.,   and for that I thank you
My (Our Compliments) to the Chef and the staff -  it truly was a night to remember

"Loved the potato pancakes!!" by Troy (147 reviews)
July 07, 2008 - Likes it - The food was good, but a little on the pricey side.  Believe it or not, my favorite part of the meal was the side of potato pancakes . . . I'd go back for those alone.  The fish and scallops and shrimp were all good too!

"Wrong on closing" by moonflow (1 review)
May 19, 2008 - Wrights seafood inn was going down hill for some years before the flood.  We ate there often and had to stop coming and bringing former friends from Florida who wanted to dine when they visited Pgh.  So its ni surprise the same is happening with the opening.  They had family not agreeing and food and staff lacking manners.Stop blaming the flood this was bad before the flood

"still the same old wrights" by texfreedomgal (1 review)
May 03, 2008 - Likes it - i went to wright's as a child enjoyed the food then and still do today. joe is trying to reach all age groups. i mean there may be new things on menu but there are still some of the old favs too. and working there i have bigger respect for the cooks. we try our best to make people happy but we also need to stick to how the food need to be done. most of you do not understand it is hard for us to make the people happy we try our best. 2 out of 100 people give us a bad comment. as long as people keep going back there that is all that matters. beside that everyone who works there trys to make your time at wrights the best they can. i mean if you had one bad time there go back and try again it may have been one bad night.

"Concern Customer" by andyatran (1 review)
April 05, 2008 - Doesn't like it - I've heard ads after ads about Wright's Seafood Inn on my way from work each day. Finally, this past week my family and i pay a visit. I would have to say when you "talk to talk you better walk the walk. Lets just say the entire experienced were a disappointment". The appetizers were over cooked. For the  entree, my eight year old could have done a better presentation than the people you call chef. The taste and seasonings were lacking. We will not return to this establishment
