(16 reviews) June 02, 2008 - Horrible service: waited over 1/2 hr for a table on 2 separate occasions, then another 1/2 hour for the food. Pastrami is smoked with what tasted like alderwood so it is no longer classified as Jewish (they state that it's not a "NY deli"). Pastrami not thin enough either and the rye bread was marinated or soaked in something unsavory. The only thing Jewish was that it was as if your Jewish buddy's mother cooked for you and she stank! Matzoh balls like lead. Waitress warned us not to order knishes because the customers send them back because they're cold inside because they won't microwave them ; well they were served hot for decades before there were microwaves. Other things (e.g., bliintzes ) served only on particular days at certain times. |
