"NOT a "suburban standout""
by tadinlo
(1 review)
September 05, 2009 - As much as we enjoyed dining at this Lake Oswego restaurant, we don't like their shady tactics. To attract patrons to their establishment, several months ago, the Dang's Thai Kitchen owner signed up w/ restaurant.com which offers dining certificates at a discounted price, good for 1 year. Following publication of the 2009 Diner "Suburban Standout of the Year" 6/10 article, Dang's posted signs on their doors exhibiting their refusal to honor any of the certificates previously purchased, effective 6/13. These certificates, each with an expiration date, were paid for and thus are a "contract," and so should, by law, be honored. Restaurant.com has indicated that their certificates may become void if an establishment closes or moves or is sold, but Dang's chose to shun their responsibility to both restaurant.com, as well as to those who supported their restaurant, to accept the certificates through their expiration dates - all in the name of greed. In our book, the restaurant definitely is no longer a suburban standout. 11 people like this review Recommend |

"Best Phad Kee Mao EVER!"
by Corrinie
(5 reviews)
August 02, 2009 - Really likes it - When I was studying at Lewis and Clark I ate here everyday, sometimes twice a day. The Phad Kee Mao is the best I have ever had. I drive out of my way to eat here and often get take out to cart back to Hood River for dinner. This place is so, so good. 1 person likes this review Recommend |

April 26, 2009 - I ate here with my wife and two other couples, and we shared our dishes family style. This gave me a real chance to try many dishes. Bottom line, out of 8 or so dishes, not one was super good. Some were ok, others were just wrong. Basically it was a small bang for a huge buck. Honestly, nuthin special. Try Thai cabin in Hillsboro, that place is what I call top-ten-Thai! |

"Best Thai on West Coast"
by Greg

March 13, 2009 - Likes it - My wife and I have tried many Thai restaurant's and this one is hands down the best we have ever experienced together. Myself, I have been a Thai addict for over 20 years and have never enjoyed Thai food this much.Great service. Out of this world food. Amazing variety with a very unique selection on the menu. This is a true mark of a restaurant that wants to stand out from the rest. 1 person likes this review Recommend |

"This place keep on Rockin..."

March 20, 2008 - Really likes it - I keep coming back to this place again, again... and again. I have not found anything that disappoint me yet, WOW. I tried this chicken wrapped with some kind of leaves that you have to unwrap, let me tell ya, yummy! Not that many Thai places have this. Volcano Beef is out of this world the beef is soooo tender and flavorful. I recommended one of my friend (Chef) to try it, he was impressed (that is hard to do). The only bad thing about this place is kindna far from my house. Oh yeah, the service is great, one of the waitress is very cute too. 5 people like this review Recommend |

"Good, but Not the best."
by Craig Lidtle

March 05, 2008 - Doesn't like it - I've been to some other better tasting restaurants. The atmosphere is good, but the food is full of sugar and msg. Did not feel to good afterwards. The place is nice, but Not the food. I'd save the money and go to another place with quality. 11 people like this review Recommend |

February 05, 2008 - Likes it - On the basis of two visits, I'd have to call it the best and most interesting Thai food I've had in Portland. Beef with green curry was extraordinary, and my wife had a salmon dish that was just spectacular. Wish I lived closer to Lake Oswego.... 12 people like this review Recommend |
