"Hit and Miss"

November 21, 2009 - Really likes it - Held a business diner here last week. Though most of the food was OK I ordered the Cowboy Ribeye Medium Rare. I came about as rare as could be without a moo coming from it. It was all full of tissue or gristle, hard to tell. It might have had to do with the rawness though. The sides were all good including the potato. The salad and soup bar got down to a point we had to wait to be re-filled, which was awhile, quite awhile.I have had great food here though so maybe its a hit/miss. Usually worth the money but not tonite BUT my company had great food so the night was not a loss |

September 23, 2009 - Really likes it - After reading some of the other comments claiming that they were unsatisfied I decided to give Charleys a try, seeing that most comments were made more than a year ago. Upon entering, the Hostess was very friendly and attentive even opening the door for us. The atomosphere was beautiful with a large wine selection, and I was informed by the manager that they had just completed a remodel. Our dinner and service was impecable and could'nt of been better! The manager even stopped by the table to make sure that we were satisfied. The steaks were easily the best I've ever had! I will return and so will everyone I know! Thank You Charley's! |

May 31, 2009 - Likes it - I think this is the best steak I have ever had....the other three steak eaters felt the same...I feel that it is worth a trip in it self....Outstanding service and a great recommendation from the waiter on how to save some dollars....it was perfection and this is from a Texan out of his beloved state 1 person likes this review Recommend |

August 04, 2008 - Doesn't like it - In agreement with other reviews. This location needs a serious cleaning and/or revamp. The service was decent but my food wasn't. I ordered the filet mignon and it was half gristle. What's worse, is that it was cooked closer to medium well than medium rare. I expected better from what I'd heard. Thoroughly let down. |

August 02, 2008 - This was my first time to Charley's and upon entering the restaurant headed for the ladies room. It appeared that it had not had a deep cleaning in a long time. Cobwebs like the "Haunted Mansion" at Disney abound on the light fixtures, wet ceiling tiles, and dirty stalls. I thought if this is any indication as to what dinner is going to be like, yuk. The service and food were fine but for the money your going to spend here there are much better, less pricey steak houses in Orlando with clean bathrooms. 1 person likes this review Recommend |

July 31, 2008 - Doesn't like it - I've been there 5 times with only one bad service. For the price, thats not good enough. Dinner for 5 took 3 hours even on a saturday night, a decent restaurant should be at its best regardless of how busy.Had to send back the first lobster tail because it was so tough that it wouldn't come out of its shell. My buddy got their "signature" steak, a 52 ouncer that was half gristle and half bone. We had rare steaks and well done steaks in our group and rather than go in at different times, the rare steak sat with the lobster and the well steak went out without resting. Waiter was incredibly slow and the front of house manager who was wearing a golf shirt and slacks tried to chum it up with us to keep us happy. They sent us desserts on the house but after 3 hours and lousy steaks who wants to stay? we turned them back and it took another 30 minutes to clear the table and process the checks. my 9% tip was GENEROUS. Sorry Charley, im going to the capital grille from now on. |

July 25, 2008 - Top 3 steakhouse in the central florida area in my opinion. My only question to management is, how do you expect people (after eating an appetizer and a steak) to tackle your massive desserts that weigh 5lbs??! |
