"Saturday lunch"

June 25, 2008 - Likes it - My wife and I have frequented Womans Exchange Tea Room in Ladue on occasional Saturdays; at times, we've carried out, as well. What a delight, the restaurant is small, bright, well-maintained, friendly, the service is top-notch, the food superb, with the tossed salad being my favorite, but close behind is everything else on their menu. There's a choice of chicken and/or ham in the salad, I've always chosen just the chicken. This is what a restaurant should be, and it's been this way for many years. My only possible negative is that I like them to toss my salad, and when you order a carry-out tossed, they do charge a bunch more. There are entitled to more, no question, it would be a friendlier touch if there was no extra charge. Dress is nice casual, men who avoid going there probably lack confidence, the age range is likely sltpepper or gray, with the younger set going to Lester's near by, also a good choice, but Womans Exchange is a treasure! |
