"Horrible Restaurant" by mbmonson (1 review)
November 20, 2009 - My famly arrived at this restaurant tonight just prior to the time of our reservation. We specified in our reservation that we wanted a table instead of a booth, as their booths are designed for only two people and the four of us have been crowded into them before. We also told the restaurant that we were celebrating a sweet 16 birthday. When we arrived, the rude hostess informed us that, even though it was time for our reservation, we would have to wait. She then became more specific, stating that we would have an even longer wait since we wanted a table. Her cohort than rudely told us that a reservation is not a guarantee of service. We waited for ten minutes, when another party who did not have a reservation but had been drinking in the bar were seated at a table. We approached the manager, who was also rude and said that he couldn't help it that they were running behind in all areas. He refused to do anything and stood there repeating himself in a patronizing, irritating manner until we finally gave up and left. We called Kincaid's in Saint Paul, where we were able to get a table immediately, had far superior food and service, and enjoyed a far superior atmosphere. The Chianti Grill is very noisy and cannot manage reservations; all the staff we encountered were condescending and rude. We will never go back, and we urge you to go elsewhere.

September 16, 2009 - Likes it - Great pesce and pasta. Good wine list and a nice gluten free menu. Family friendly and affordable. A standby for our family and always a favorite. Good for small children too!

September 09, 2009 - Doesn't like it - Atmosphere was nice, salad and bread with entree. Avoid the seafood canneloni, was mushy. Other entrees looked fine, didn't seem to use fresh vegs. Would go back again but would prefer another option.

"The Best" by jay (1 review)
August 27, 2009 - Likes it - Although this is not A "High end" restaurant, it feels like it. The wait staff consistently is superb...Our waiters recognise us and remember our pacing desires, despite the fact that we are only semi-regulars. The food is great, with the chef coming out to check on our satisfaction. You, I take it back...this is a high end restaurant. I guess it's the reasonable prices that keep the "high end" label a bit elusive,
Last evening...100.00 including drinks and tip. You will not top that anywhere for such a quality experience.

June 21, 2009 - Likes it - Awesome...I took my parents out after a convention and they absolutely loved the food, the service, and the atmosphere. I would certainly go back, and you can feel better about not going to another chain!

"Fine Italian" by Carl Berger Sr (40 reviews)
September 03, 2008 - Really likes it - Walk in the door and you know it's not a chain. The menu also lets you know that. Great ambiance, fine service and excellent food prepared to your liking. Ask your server what they like and you'll get a good rundown of a sub-menu of good food. Prices slightly above the national chains but the entire experience is worth it.
4.5/5 stars
