"Was It My Skin??"

October 05, 2009 - Doesn't like it - I felt "black" balled on a visit to Haiku. My 2 (also african american) friends and I ended up leaving this restaurant after showing up on time for our reservations (or priority seating) time, standing around for over 45 minutes and watching other diners, of the lighter persuasion, being seated as we stood. We were not even offer seats outside, of which there were plenty. Only after I informed the hostess that we were leaving because we did not feel welcome. Is it a coincidence that we were the only Blacks attempting to dine?? 3 people like this review Recommend |

"Absolutely Pleasing!"

July 29, 2009 - Likes it - For almost 10 years I've been a patron of Haiku. Little has changed since my first experience many years ago. The sushi is still superb, staff exceptional and atmosphere like none other. Spring/Summer/Fall dining options include that of a very large outdoor patio. I prefer calling ahead in order to sit at the sushi bar. Note: If a sever suggests something off the menu (most recently the Large Rainbow Roll), I highly suggest trying it for your enjoyment. Presentation is always alluring here. The valets are personable and if you ask your server your car will be ready as you exit the facility. If by any means your party needs special attention, phone ahead and they'll do their best to accommodate you. |

July 20, 2009 - We went there on our hotel's recommendation. As vegetarians we were disappointed by the "off"taste of our food and the fishy smell of the dining room. After ordering 3 different dishes, not enjoying 2 of them, we left unsatisfied. Would not go back with so many choices in the Short North Arts area. |

April 07, 2009 - Likes it - I visit Columbus about once a year and it has pretty much become a tradition to eat the first night's dinner at Haiku.Great sushi, interesting speciality rolls and it's nice to sit outside on the patio if the weather's good.My only complaint (and this is mostly in jest) was that I was disappointed one year when they were closed because of a holiday (4th of July?). |

March 01, 2009 - Likes it - Haiku has been one of our Jewels in the Short North for a number of years. If you love Sushi or Lettuce Wraps you will enjoy the food and atmosphere at Haiku. We'll be keeping an eye out for something fresh and new on the menu for this spring and summer season. We're 3.5 Stars Groovy with HaikuCiao |

December 07, 2008 - Really likes it - Haiku has a relaxing atmosphere, great music, friendly staff and very delicious food. From their soups to noodles to sushi and sashimi plates everything I have had no complaints. I highly recommend the Crunching Buckeye Roll. |

October 24, 2008 - Likes it - Pleasant atmosphere. Pleasant staff. Walk up an appetite by visiting art galleries in the Short North and wind down with saki and eel. Tastes great! Less filling! Relax and have a very good time. |
