August 01, 2009 - We got takeout a week ago and it was fine, but we had two dishes and two soups. We ordered nothing fancy and they wanted 45 bucks. Not worth the cost, check the menu because you might just call and ask for your usual requests and then go pick it up and get hit with a larger bill than you were expecting. |

May 29, 2009 - Likes it - I normally don't go to Chinese restaurants, esp. buffet Chinese restaurants. The food here is great. It's food is fresh and not heavy on preservatives. You can eat Chinese food here and not feel like garbage afterwards. A must in the South Park area. |

April 27, 2009 - While the take-out can get a touch greasy, the wonderful staff will prepare the meals with less oil upon request. They will also adjust spiciness upon request, which is handy. While take-out is a popular option, the restaurant itself is worth a look-see. |

"#2 on Charlotte's Most Overrated, Behind Mama Ricotta's"

April 19, 2009 - Doesn't like it - This seems to be a local favorite, so what I'm about to say is probably sacrilege. My husband and I decided to get takeout from tonight. I had pretty much given up on them because of my last experience--but it's so convenient we gave it another shot. All it did was confirm my previous opinion: this food has NO flavor. All I taste is salt and oil. My husband got the chow fun and it was a dull and unappetizing heap of noodles with hardly any vegetables or chicken (but plenty of oil). And the spicy dishes are rather tame. Given the higher price point for Baoding, I wish this place impressed me a lot more. I just don't see what causes people to rave about this restaurant year over year. 1 person likes this review Recommend |

"Best Charlotte Chinese"

October 07, 2008 - Really likes it - If you're a big fan of (the American version) of Chinese food, you can not pass up Baoding. The atmosphere is similar to that of a PF Changs, and the food is wonderful. Make sure to try the Spicy Cucumber appetizer! I'm not a cucumber fan but these are great. Aside from that I've tried multiple things on the menu and have yet to find something I don't enjoy. 1 person likes this review Recommend |
