"Acapulco Joe's"

September 22, 2009 - Not as bad as everyone says. The salsa was oddly sweet, and the squeeze bottle was weird but definitely unique. It's a hole in the wall for sure, and it'd make amazing drunk food - cheap, quick, and fatty. Not sure I'd ever return, but it satisfied my Mexican fix for lunch today for a grand total of $7. Not too shabby. 1 person likes this review Recommend |

September 15, 2009 - Doesn't like it - If you are going for drinks, great! They are good and cheap.Don't go for food. You can throw hamburger on a tortilla at home.p.s. Salsa should never be served in a squeeze bottle! 1 person likes this review Recommend |

July 06, 2009 - Doesn't like it - I went to the Greenwood location. It was pretty dirty it had leaks in the cealing going into a garbage can. I dealt didn't like the queso it was almost burnt. They changed their story abou Joe. The salsa in a ketchup bottle was weird, but I did like the quesodilla. Good chips not the sauces 2 stars I don't recomend it. If you go to Greenwood try El NiƱo or El Chalupa instead. |

"Really bad Mexican food, if you can even call it that."

March 27, 2009 - Doesn't like it - The last time I went there, I ordered enchiladas. Mine were cold in the center, which leads me to believe these were frozen to begin with. Their salsa tastes like tomato sauce, the service is slow. A disaster from start to finish. 3 people like this review Recommend |

February 24, 2009 - No, No, No... this place was horrible. Everything was drenched in tomatoe paste. The flavor was horrible, and the fact that the cook made racial comments to me about sweet potatoe pie and watermelon tells me this is not the place for me. I'll never go back and I'll be calling the owner tomorrow!!!! 1 person likes this review Recommend |

"Childhood Memories"

February 24, 2009 - Likes it - My parents used to take my brother and me to Acapulco Joe's on the weekends, after my dad was done with work. I have so many fond memories of our dinners there, so when my fiance and I moved to the downtown area from Z'ville, I asked him to walk to Acapulco Joe's for dinner. Even now, the food is still fabulous. The chips and salsa are to die for - I have still never tasted salsa quite like theirs. The margaritas are also exquisite. They are huge, and if you can't finish your, just ask and they will let you take them to go, which is something I've gotten used to having lived in New Orleans for a few years now. The service is fast, and they also offer outside seating, which is a hard to find in Indy. If you are looking for a recommendation, try to chicken quesadilla. I get it every time! 2 people like this review Recommend |

"Oh No, Acapulco Joe!"

November 25, 2008 - Doesn't like it - All I have to say is that there was tomato paste dressing up as salsa. The food there is almost completely unrecognizable as mexican food. Everything seemed to come right of a can. Our party actually left without eating. 1 person likes this review Recommend |

September 13, 2008 - Likes it - An Indy tradition...greasy spoon with some Mexican flair. Good food, grimy atmosphere, but we wouldn't have it any other way!For a full review, go to http://floeatsindy.blogspot.com/2008/06/acapulco-joes.html 1 person likes this review Recommend |
