Set sail at this classy, nautical-themed restaurant, serving a boatload of revolving seafood specials in a posh and lively atmo
From the moment you enter the Oceanaire you feel a sense of place and time akin to a classic 1930s ocean liner. No detail is left to chance. From cocktails in the lounge, to our raw oyster bar, to a main course of ultra-fresh fish, a rendezvous at the Oceanaire is the perfect occasion to indulge your unfettered senses. Our seafood is flown in daily from around the world. We source only top-of-the-catch fish from the world's most reputable suppliers. Since our menu is based entirely on market availability, selections change by the day - in some cases, even by the hour. Choose your fancy prepared to your liking: simply grilled or broiled, sauteed, steamed or even fried. Served with our famous fresh baked sourdough bread, and offered with a wine list as deep as the sea, it's no wonder people come here to be spoiled.

October 11, 2009 - Doesn't like it - Very expensive, very formularized a la Mortons. You are always being hustled for the most expensive dish, extra side or wine. The food is good, but not great. This type of place exists for people with expense accounts to impress customers who have never been to a real restaurant 1 person likes this review Recommend |

August 15, 2009 - Doesn't like it - Disappointing...a sloppy attempt at slick food. The ceviche was tired and lack lustre, the diver scallops were cooked well but small and swimming in over sweet sauce that was, frankly, revolting after a few bites...the ambience was nice though the clientel wore mostly jeans and shorts and the bar was above average. This is a chain...this is a chain...this is another boring chain. 5 people like this review Recommend |

"My favorite seafood place."

October 15, 2008 - Really likes it - Although it might not be saying much, this is the best seafood reastuarant in Indy. I've eaten here many times, and they know how to provide a quality dining experience with consistency -- the fish is always fresh, the waiters always cordial and attentive, and the clam chowder always delicious. The classy and classic atmosphere adds that extra something. 7 people like this review Recommend |
