"Large party"

October 07, 2009 - Doesn't like it - So we had some friends visitng from nyc, and wanted to eat some steak. I don't know why but it was a while to wait for our large party for everything. Server, food, and check. We ordered several steaks and pork chops but most of our orders were cooked way too well done or not cooked at all.We sent 2 back and got them well done instead of medium.I heard the music nights are good but i'm not too sure about the steak.. 1 person likes this review Recommend |

"THE real steakhouse in Buffalo."

July 26, 2008 - Likes it - The Scotch N Sirloin has been around since the late 1960s. And in the restaurant business that means that you are doing something well. It used to be a bit more formal than it is now, recently I was there and there were peolle in jeans and casual dress. Which goes to show that the food is the draw, not gawking at the crowd. There are large dining rooms, that have plank floors, and the tables are spread far enough apart that you are not sitting in someone elses lap. Each room has it's own small but well done salad bar. With fresh baked breads, and even artichoke hearts on the salad bar. Dinners here are not ala carte. Which means that you won't be paying $7.00 for a baked potato. Or $7.00 for a plate of green beans. Your dinner comes complete with potato and vegetable, and salad. The top sirloin is excellent. So are the other steaks. The prime rib is just amazing. Well cooked, tender and a very good portion. And the New York Sirloin is the way a good sirloin should be. With just the right amount of bite to it. There are choices for Surf and Turf that would please anyone.The best thing about the Scotch N Sirloin is that what you save on the extras you can use to get some appetizers, and have a drink in the lounge which is a wonderful bar. |
