November 09, 2009 - Likes it - Really enjoyed the dumplings for an appetizer. Was not crazy about main course (coconut & mango shrimp and scallop dish) but am willing to go back and try a different dish

"Very Impressive" by Joe Penner (1 review)
November 08, 2009 - Really likes it - I went to Somewhere in Bangkok when it first opened and had a very pleasant experience. I recently returned again, and quickly noticed that the food had less of a bite than my first visit. While I understand that many people who go for curry expect a potent dish, many Americans prefer a milder flavor.
My food was served hot and fresh, and the service was very fast, even during primetime lunch.
My favorite dish is the yellow curry, a dish potent, savory, and sweet at the same time. I recommend it to those new to curry, as it is the mildest of the "three colors" (red, green, and yellow) served by the restaurant.
Couple it with a Thai iced tea, a potent tea that's one of the sweetest beverages one can consume, presented in layers with evaporated milk, the sweet, chilly tea instantly cools the mouth when needed.
The staff is very friendly and accommodating, I had asked for my iced tea to be served with my curry, but it was instead brought right away. My waitress realized this right away, and offered me an additional tea for free (as there are no refills on beverages other than water). Additionally, the accommodating nature of the staff is shown through their ability to adjust the flavor or spicyness of any dish, as well as make any dish vegetarian-friendly by substituting tofu for meat or fish, or even simply omitting the ingredient entirely.
The restaurant itself is tiny - there's barely enough room to walk around, and during primetime you usually end up sitting right next to somebody else because of the traditional style that the interior is done in, but the clientele are all friendly folks who also know where to be when big flavor is desired, and big price isn't.

"My new favorite Thai restaurant" by scubagirl (2 reviews)
September 07, 2009 - Likes it - We stopped in for lunch this weekend. I think this is now our favorite Thai restaurant - it surpasses every other we've been to in the area. We started off with Thai Iced Teas - they were fantastic. Definitely the best we've had. For an appetizer we tried the crispy green beans. They had a very light crispy exterior - not greasy - served with a great zesty ranch style sauce (for lack of a better description - not sure what was in it). I believe the crispy green beans were a daily special - they should definitely add this as a regular menu item because I'm hooked now. For our main dish I tried the drunken noodles (after seeing so many people recommend it) and I must say they were TO DIE FOR good.
The bathrooms were very nice and the kitchen looked spotless. The only thing I could find wrong was the limited parking available. If you like Thai food - this is a must visit!

February 21, 2009 - Really likes it - This was really excellent food. Reasonably priced. You can also bring your own bottle of wine which is nice. I was also impressed wit the cleanliness and zen décor of the bathroom.

"Real Thai food in Connecticut" by kris (1 review)
December 05, 2008 - Likes it - I've eatten at many Thai restaurants in the area and many in NYC nothing comes close to the real flavor of Thai food til' I drove by this place. From the first minute we walked in we knew that we will be taken good care of. We were right, service was great and the food was beyond my expectation.
Being born and raised in Thailand for almost 20 yrs I would never thought that I would be able to taste anything as good as I did when I was there. The owner "Took"(that's her nickname) went above and beyond to make our dinning experience even more enjoyable.
I am also in the food service and a firm believer in "Good service can make the food taste better". Well, in this case what do you do when the service is great and the food is outstanding. We go there at least 3 times a month sometimes we just do take out.
If you'd asked me what to order I would say everything but that's me. If you like spicy food you would love the heat they able to offer(speaking from experience). Chicken satay with peanut sauce is always my favorite ,Drunken Noodle is a must, Pad Thai? you can't go wrong with that. I can go on and on cause I did try a lot of items on that menu.
Talk to them and tell them what you like. They are able and willing to make you something off the menu. The bottom line is if you love real Thai food you should love this place. They are't at all water down Americanized Chinese alike Thai food.
