June 05, 2009 - Likes it - Ive taken my wife there twice and the food and service was awesome both time. You have to reserve a private room for dinner. My wife thought that was a nice touch to our Anniversery dinner. We are going back!

May 27, 2009 - Likes it - The Beef Medallions have just the right amount of cracked pepper accented with a Makers Mark reduction, you will feel right at home from the welcoming Reception to the attentive wait staff. I would highly recommend you consider this establishment the next time you are in Memphis.

"special occasions" by Travel man (35 reviews)
March 29, 2009 - Likes it - I go here when everything has to be right. You are going to get good service good food a large bill. Expect all of this and you will not be surprised. They took the crab christoff off the menu a few years ago and then also had some issues with quality, it seems they have ironed those problems out now but need to put the crab back, I have seen sparks fly from forks over the last bite! Sure the place is pricey but whats another 30 bucks to ensure a great dinner. I proposed here....twice{sadly} and I still go back nuf said..

"Try it Again" by Mark B (10 reviews)
January 20, 2009 - Really likes it - They have had some issues in the past, but I ate dinner there a few weeks ago and it is back to where it once was.  The steaks were fantastic and the sides were great.

"Best Anniversary EVER!" by meme (1 review)
October 30, 2008 - What a great place.
My husband and I valet parked and walked into a very romantic and cozy atmosphere - we were seated right away.  We reserved one of those private rooms, ours could accommodate four guests, but it was just the two of us.  You could easily get lost, the restaurant was so huge!  Loved the ambiance of the fish tanks in the front hallway.  And almost every employee we passed smiled at us - that's hard to come by.
We ordered the featured wine, our server's suggestion, Silver Peak Zinfandel - yummy!  She was very friendly, yet not too talkative.  We went overboard and ordered everything our hearts desired for our anniversary celebration.  I ordered a Caprese salad (the fresh mozzarella, perfectly ripened tomatoes, and balsamic vinegar got my tastebuds started right away!), Crabcakes - the best I've ever had... sweet and golden brown with hardly any breading, a petite filet, asparagus, and the best sweet potato casserole I've ever had.  My husband split the salad and Crabcakes with me and ordered a New York Strip topped with bleu cheese for himself, sided with a garlic potato casserole and a spinach casserole.  Both of our steaks were perfectly cooked, medium rare.  I ordered mine Philadelphia style and they nailed it!  It was too much food for both of us to finish - the sides could have each fed three people (wish we had known that beforehand, though).  We split the bread pudding for desert; I was stuffed and ready to head home.
We were greeted by one of the managers before we left the table - I can't remember his name, but he was so sweet and had what sounded like a South American accent.  He seemed genuinely interested about our dining experience.
I did stop in to visit the "little girls room," which was very small for such a large place!  Only two stalls, but clean and fancy.
We passed the lounge on the way out and decided to stop in.  We both had an after dinner cocktail while listening to the pianist play.  He didn't sing, but that didn't matter.  We both thought he must have played there for years b/c he seemed to know everyone in the room.  Even still, we weren't ignored - he greeted and wished us well on our anniversary.
The valet was just as sincere on the way out, even though it was late on a Saturday and we thought we were some of the last guests in restaurant.
This place has it all:  Atmosphere, top notch service, and great food (a little pricey for everyday fare, but for special occasions, just perfect!)

"Big Disappointment" by bdconnoisseur (1 review)
August 22, 2008 - Doesn't like it - Notably service was very good, but food was horrible!
The steak I ordered, which I was told was very lean, was full of fat, and not tasty. The sides were also very bad .I requested some bernaise sauce to try to make the food more palatable and this resulted in an additional charge.
This is one place that is very pricey and charges for every thing, which would not have been a problem if it had been a great culinary experience.
Needless to say, most of the food ended up being taken home for the dogs.
Only the drinks, and desert were good.
I've had a much better dining experience at many local establishments, and would not recommend this place.
