28 January, 2010 - Likes it - Immaculate food! We were blown away by the highly imaginative and brilliantly prepared tasting menu. The service was super efficient and friendly. The only (major) disappointment was the basic Chablis (Jean-Pierre Ellevin 2007 - £45) which tasted no better than a supermarket Petit Chablis and stood in stark contrast to the food. It was also served much too cold. We complained (about the quality) but nothing disappeared from the bill. |

29 August, 2008 - Likes it - This restaurant experience marks the return of Angela Hartnett to the London scene. The long wait was worth it. Pared down dishes, Italian influenced, but with Angela's distinctive style - it can't be bettered. If you like the raw material in your food to shine through, with complementary sauces, and not those that overwhelm the dish, then get yourself down there before the waiting list gets ridiculous. The room is formal but minimalist and the service not at all stuffy - make no mistake - this is all Angela - no Ramsey influence is apparent - its a serious dining room for serious foodies - bring it on! 1 person likes this review Recommend |
