"Pleasant Service and Good Choices" by DK Gorrell (1 review)
March 09, 2010 - Server Lara was an excellent hostess. Choices are limited but with good variety. The garlic-spiced shrimp was very tasty with a good amount of spice. The Carpaccio and Arugula was excellent but the fig bruschetta needed a bot more of the tasty dressing to round out the tastes. Wine selection is also varied and the per glass choices are broad at $6, $7, and $8 price points. Tried two spanish $6 selections and was pleased with both. The Oreos with Vanilla ice cream in wine and port reduction sauce was a great finish. Price is not cheap as you add up all the dishes - $62 before tip for two. We will certainly return!

"Perfectly delicious" by Knappst3r (43 reviews)
January 24, 2010 - Really likes it - There's nothing about Meditrina that I didn't love.
From the Scrabble name tags for the wait staff, to the warm and low lit dining room, my experience here was something that I wish to repeat, often and soon.
The small plates dining experience is simple, and great for tasting things you might not have otherwise tried. Select a few to start, and then add more as you need.
Just save room for dessert, you'll thank me.
Dishes that impressed included the antipasto plate, patats bravas, and lamb lollipops. Dessert was the panna cotta special and the signature drunken oreos.
I highly recommend you take a step from the hustle and bustle, and be whisked away by Meditrina's charm.

December 31, 2009 - Really likes it - Hands down Meditrina has the best steamed clams & mussels I've ever had. The service was fabulous & they were very careful (and knowledgeable!) to ensure all items were wheat & dairy free :). The atmosphere is a mix of coffee-house friendly with a couch and ladies easy chair in one corner and elegant dining with simple white china contrasting their ebony tables. I highly recommend Meditrina to anyone who enjoys an artistic and sensual dining experience.

December 29, 2009 - Likes it - I love this little place. Great food and friendly staff, and will keep you coming back if you try it:)...the warm atmosphere is nice as well. Moderately priced. Must try the drunken Oreo's...mmm
ALSO, they host fun events like the monthly wine tasting and $4 tapas Mondays from 5:30-6:30 (ck their website to be sure on this?)

September 08, 2009 - Likes it - The atmosphere was great, food was delicious and unique though the portions leave a little to be desired... However, the service timing was on spot, a great place for a special night out.

"My new favorite!" by Michelle (1 review)
August 23, 2009 - My husband found a discount certificate on Restaurants.com and suggested we try Meditrina. I had never heard of it, so needless to say, I was skeptical. We tried 7 dishes and there was only one that I did not care for. We tried all three specials which were delicious. My favorites from the regular menu included the polenta and the mussels. Next time, I would skip the satay. It was sub par compared to the rest of the dishes. Happy eating!

"Great food, relaxing atmosphere" by utemike (3 reviews)
August 23, 2009 - Likes it - We were looking for a place with outside dining on a summer evening. We didn't even realize tht meant we wanted to eat slowly and relax, but that's what happened at Meditrina. There was no beach nearby, but there should have been with the feeling this restaurant creates. The server appears promptly, goes into the level of detail you want about the food, the wine or even quirky liquor laws and is attentive the rest of the night.
The food was varied and excellent, wine could be ordered by the half glass to pair with the variety of food and we had a lingering, pleasant evening ordering a couple plates at a time, then a couple more.
Don't let the Oreo port-infused desert with ice cream put you off. I was really suspicious but we tried it and will order it again.
In fact, we will return to this restaurant soon, it is one of the best in Salt Lake. Go there before it becomes the latest rage and you have to wait to be seated.

"Loud inside but worth the noise" by Luvthemountains (11 reviews)
June 28, 2009 - Likes it - What a quirky place for a quirky restaurant. It looks like its in an old gas station. The restaurant was noisy when I dined recently so my friend and I chose to eat outside. The food is great and so is the wine. I love the fun nature of the menu and the service. PBR to Judd's Hill estate. Watching the fireworks from the Bees game from the patio topped of the night!

"very impressed" by ry ry (5 reviews)
June 18, 2009 - Likes it - I had drove four hours to go to dinner. I was starving. Amy (who is one of the owners)greeted us with a smile that made me feel at home. My date ordered for us. She ordered five items that sounded wonderful. As i am a chef one of the little things i noticed that most people overlook is the diffrent cooking styles these plates required. I was waiting to see how they would go together.I sat amazed at how wonderful each entree' tasted and how they all brought out the flavor of the next one. They rolled together like a slice of heaven. I highly recommend this dinning experience to all especially those who enjoy a great time.

"Amazingly impressed!" by Jesse B (4 reviews)
April 06, 2009 - Really likes it - I must say I am VERY difficult to be completely impressed with service at a restaurant, being a professional server myself. The menu was AMAZING, the wine selection unique and diverse. But more importantly, the server knew incredible detail about EVERY wine and was able to keep me well entertained and my palate pleasantly surprised. The food was inventive, well thought out, with excellent presentation. Impressive menu, adorable little restaurant. I will be spending PLENTY of time at this place!
