March 10, 2010 - Really likes it - I LOVE this place...the margaritas are insane. The queso is so delicious i gave it up for lent but only made it through today. no lie. Plus the burritos are huge and the flan is to die for.

March 05, 2010 - Likes it - Excellent service, thanks Colorado! :) Chucken Torta was very good. But the nit so fresh tortias were way over steamed. This our first visit in some time due to heavily pierced waitstaff. Fortunatly it appears the staff has been upgraded. Roof top dining is wonderful.

"Best Margaritas in town!!!!!" by HCA (1 review)
February 24, 2010 - Likes it - I love El Guapos. It is a fun place to eat and drink! There are lots of fun things that catch your eye. The food is much better that any chain Tex-mex place you could go, they even offer authentic dishes. The Margaritas are the real deal sealer for me. There is no sweet n sour in any of them. Instead a limeade and fresh lime are used as a mixer. The drinks are stronger than most places and there is always a beer and a margarita special!!! Not to mention the ONLY roof top patio in T Town

"Delicious!" by MJH (1 review)
February 24, 2010 - Likes it - Went to El Guapo's over the weekend with my mom and had a blast. We enjoyed great specialty margaritas: I had the Hibiscus Margarita and mom had The Lucky Day one. For dinner, we shared the Rice Bowl and the Tacos. All I have to say is Girls' Night Out was a success! Oh and the salsa is the best in town in my opinion.

"eh.." by Robert Haslam (2 reviews)
November 25, 2009 - Doesn't like it - This restaurant is good if you go to a mexican/tex-mex place to eat nachos and drink margaritas on a roof. If you want actual mexican or tex-mex this is not the place to go. The queso is watery, the dishes are terrible. Fish tacos are overwhelmingly fishy, the chicken looks and tastes like it came out of a microwave.

"If you pay enough, you get a rating" by Ron (1 review)
August 03, 2009 - Doesn't like it - It must be due to advertising that El Guapo is rated as high as they are. It is sure not the food or the service. The wait staff must eat the food to get the attitude they have. I agree with one of the other reviewers that before I tasted my food, the smell had already hit me, and I was not sure it was edible. Must have been a bad day in the kitchen as well as with the wait staff. I really wondered if the meat had gone bad . Been there twice, thinking maybe it was just a bad day the first time. It wasn't.

June 27, 2009 - Doesn't like it - Food there is aweful, they even managed to mess up queso. I do like the speciality margaritas and roof top atmosphere is fun. Go to have a few drinks and that's it!

April 15, 2009 - Doesn't like it - Food was below average. Margaritas tasted like they came from a mix. Wait staff seemed angry/ hungover.

February 12, 2009 - Doesn't like it - I have to agree with Kevin, but I need to take it a bit further. Today was my first visit to El Guapo. I ordered something I thought was simple -Fajita Salad. Let me tell you all, before I got the first bite in my mouth and the smell wafted to my nose....I knew something was "off".. I could barely chew that first little bite of chicken I took. I've never (NEVER) tasted any Mexican food this bad. I couldn't even eat the salad part. This was so bad that I don't think my stomach can "stomach" another try.

"It's pretty average Mexican food" by Kevin (1 review)
December 18, 2008 - Doesn't like it - I can't believe this place is ranked No. 1 among Tulsa's Mexican restaurants.  It serves barely adequate standard Tex-Mex that is comparable to El Chico and only slightly better than Pancho's.  There are far better Mexican restaurants in Tulsa, especially over in the "Little Mexico" part of town around 21st and Garnett.  But even places such as Senior Tequila's serve food far superior to El Quapos.  This place is just popular and trendy, but is not even close to the best Mexican food in Tulsa.
