November 12, 2009 - been here a few times. it's pricey. I recall having the duck and the burger. the burger is HUGE. very delish. the sauteed mushrooms almost made me faint. burger was around 15 bucks. best burger available in Anchorage. duck was good as well that was around 23 bucks. dinner for 2 can put you 50+ easy.

October 21, 2009 - Likes it - I thought it was a bit overpriced, but really enjoyed the cuisine. They know fish and how to prepare it. Great wine list too.

October 14, 2009 - Likes it - I took my now ex boyfriend there for his last night in town, and when I made the reservation, I told the hostess what was up and how it would be awesome to have a view of the ocean.. etc. She totally hooked me up and came through with a great table for us. The food is amazing. A little pricey, but worth it. You get a TON of food. We were struggling to finish our meals.

"Halibut Cheeks Yum Yum!" by Kelsey 'Campbell' Jezierski (1 review)
August 28, 2009 - Really likes it - I have to say, this place is amazing...well, their halibut cheeks are. Normally when I go to a restaurant I branch out each time and try something new. Not this place. The halibut cheeks are so delicious, I can't imagine eating here without ordering them. My husband has had the steak and prime rib and both of those were really good as well. The apps are to die for as well. My favorite is the crab and artichoke dip but the teriyaki tinderloin is pretty good too. :) And make sure to have one of their mojitos...they are so well made you will have downed 5, stood up and sat back down again.

"Love Happy Hour!" by Liz (12 reviews)
August 15, 2009 - Likes it - Simon's happy hour is the best. Half price on excellent appetisers and the drinks are always perfect! Lunch and dinner are pretty awesome too! There is a reason Simons has survived for so many years in Anchorage. The quality has never waivered.

"Yummy!" by rivlady (4 reviews)
August 13, 2009 - I've been there 2x's and loved it. Chophouse martini is worth the 15 bucks. I can't decide what's better... halibut cheeks or stuffed halibut. You can't go wrong with those. Stay away from the Lavender Martini though, taste like cough syrup. Good service, good food. Cute atmosphere. Solid.

August 07, 2009 - Likes it - You can hardly go wrong eating at Simon's - we've been going for years. Howver, it's not where to go if you're looking for a great steak.

July 05, 2009 - A a relaxed environment in which to enjoy exhilarating fresh fish situated at the edge of Cook Inlet. The menu includes numerous types of cooked fish - blackened, grilled, fried, or prepared any other way you like it. Try the king crab legs. For dessert - vanilla ice cream whipped with brandy.
The bar is a great spot for microbrews to single malt scotch.

"Famous, but perhaps should be more infamous" by David Cardinal (3 reviews)
July 04, 2009 - Doesn't like it - There is nothing wrong with Simon & Seaforts but they trade on their reputation & location. To my taste the seafood is a little overcooked and dry, but the prices are plenty high enough so that everything should really be perfect.

June 22, 2009 - Likes it - My husband and I have been there twice, and we liked it the first time. The second time, we enjoyed it less. The view is nice if you get a window seat, but it can be very loud and crowded in there. Get there early and eat quickly if you want quiet. My family enjoyed their experience. A recommend, if you don't mind loudness and slow service but only because things are cooked to order; wait service is great. They have a special 3-course meal for $25 between 4:30 and 5:30pm, and they have a fairly good menu for that.

"Good Seafood" by Alaskankingalex (34 reviews)
March 26, 2009 - Likes it - Simon & Seafort's is pretty decent. Nice location that overlooks the bay. Simon's is pricy but has a good selection of seafood. Their Bering Sea Red King Crab Cakes are absolutely delicious; a customer favorite. And surprisingly I recommend their Lobster Mac N' Cheese. Parking is hard to find and summer season tends to be busy.

"a good chain restaurant" by juneau (4 reviews)
February 03, 2009 - Simon's does a nice job, and it can be fun to go there. Amazing how the bar crowd changes over time, and over the years. The food is quite good (not great), but I'd so rather spend my money on a locally owned restaurant with a bit more atmosphere than is offered here.

December 14, 2008 - Doesn't like it - Well, the last few times I have been there the food has not been that great. Yesterday it was simply horrible. One item was sent back and almost everything else was either cold, overcooked, poorly assembled and just plain gross. The waitstaff has changed quite a bit too and not for the better. It is a shame, it used to be such a good place to eat and hang out the only real problem was parking. Now it is not even worth it. Bummer.

"Awards?" by brian (3 reviews)
November 12, 2008 - Doesn't like it - Must be a reason they don't have an award on the wall since 2003? Or maybe I missed it. Only went once in the last 4 years, wasn't impressed by my or my wifes selections. Nice atmosphere though.

September 25, 2008 - Likes it - My meal was wonderful, but my wife didn't care for hers as much.  While busy they were able to get us seated in a timely manner, but if we did it again we'd probably go back to Orso's.
