Crab Fried Rice
-
The crab fried rice is on the short list of my favorite items on Jasmine Rice's menu. The rice had such a rich wok hei flavor it was unbelievable. The savory smokey wok and soy flavor delecately balaced by the sweetness of the crab and the fluffy texture of the rice countered by the carrot slivers. Excellent!
I had the combination Pho, and it was out of this world! The combination Pho has lots of bits of shaved beef, pork, tendon, and tripe as well as rice noodles, scallions, and Thai basil. All of the ingredients seemed to be of fantastic quality, and the preparation was bar none. The service was great and the lady that took my order and served me was very nice and friendly.I am adding this place to my list of regular haunts!
Green Curry with shrimp

The green curry is the best thing I have had here thus far. There was a harmonious balance of curry flavor and coconut flavor that complimented the shrimp.
Pad See Ew
-
I visited Jasmine for the 2nd time. My friend and I had the spring rolls again and also ordered the Panang Curry which is wonderful. This time we also ordered the Pad See Ew and it was phenomenal. I love this place and I hope it sticks around.
My friend and I came here to use the Groupon I purchased. The food was outstanding! I don't care if the interior wasn't all fancy, what mattered was the food was good. We shared the Vietnamese spring rolls which were fresh and light. I had the Panang curry which was spicy and creamy and some of the best Thai curry I've ever had. For both entrees, 2 waters, and the appetizer it was only $20. I would go back here anytime to try more on their menu!
Very good Pad Thai. The seafood combination was great! Seafood was very fresh, I bet they use the seafood market across the street. Size and price was better than several other Thai places here in Lex. Service was good too. I will go back!
Jasmine Rice isn't the best place to get Thai food in town, but its sufficient. The food is made with very fresh ingredients, but the dishes lacked the flavor complexity that we are used to in Thai food. Despite this, they do have great customer service and the do serve Pho, which can be seasoned as complexly as a customer could want. We will be back, but only to sample the Laotian menu that is only available Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.
I bought a Groupon for this restaurant and used it before it expired. It required an eat-in experience. I went for an early lunch and the exterior doesn't quite "grab" your attention - without the Groupon, I would have never noticed it was even there. At the time, I was the only customer seated. The inside is somewhat Spartan, but clean. The food was outstanding Thai, delicious and fairly priced, if not cheap. Highly recommended.
I'm a fan of Thai food and I have tried many of the other Thai restaurants in Lexington. I can honestly say this was the freshest Thai food I've eaten. ESPECIALLY the Tom-Yum soup. However, my favorite dish is Pad Thai with tofu. Sometimes you order it and get an overly sweet dish with rubber tofu. I decided to try this dish at Jasmine Rice. The tofu was just crisp enough on the outside while remaining tender and tasteful. The Pad Thai itself was the perfect combo of sweet and savory. I highly recommend this restaurant to any Thai food fan.
I love their Pho with beef. It's sooooo good. Mango fried rice= HEAVEN! I love mangoes and I love chicken fried rice but I didn't know they would go well together. Also, I love their spicy steak salad. It's unusual at first..has this tangy, unfamiliar taste to it..but once you get over that initial bite it's amazing! I told my brother to take a bite from my plate...and he ended up eating the whole thing! Love this place so much, I went there three days in a row last time.
We LOVE Jasmine Rice! Just discovered it a couple of weeks ago and have been there 3 times already. The various dishes we have tried all have been delicious and freshly prepared. I love the Vietnamese spring rolls, and the curry with pineapple is just yummy, too! If you like more heat, then ask for the flaked chili peppers. They do the trick!
I eat here ALL THE TIME at least twice a week. I don't even have to tell them what I want anymore. I'm actually ordering some over the phone has we speak for pick up! I ABSOLUTELY adore the Fried Rice...I am very particular about what I eat so I haven't tried much else. My next goal is to try the Pho that you all mentioned.
I love this place! I eat here everyday, and so does my family. The food is fresh and tastes so good! Kuk has the best authentic Thai food in Lexington KY!
I like it hot and it was hot! Had to wipe the sweat from my browe and drink two large classes of ice water. PERFECT!! I had the Tom Yum soup, spring rolls and spicey beef (sorry I don't remember the name of the dish). Presenation was simply fantastic for all three dishes and the taste was unique to each dish. Really loved it and recommend this restaurant.
Recently visited Jasmine Rice on accident recently. It was an accident because I thought I was heading to Fusion Cafe. I was a big fan of Fusion which had a unique menu for Lex. so I was hoping for good things. Gone is much of the Vietnamese and in its place is Thai. The Thai curry was fine,, similar to a lot of other ones you've had many times. Definitely miss the Fusion
