Kabobs Express
"Pretty good for a quick dinner" by sunshine (9 reviews)
June 26, 2008 - Kabobs Express is nothing fancy, but they sure do make warm and remarkably food-like fare :) Their combo deal for a student is pretty good, and they even deliver! Wait for a surprise because they WALK your food to you. Seriously. Tip big. That is dedication right there! Also: dessert kababs are only good if they are strawberry, don't get the ones with apples on them :P they are a little on the strange side.

Kabul
"Two thumbs up" by greenlake girl (12 reviews)
May 29, 2008 - The food here is always fantastic.  It's the kind of neighborhood place that you can expect a kind word from the owner, who will remember you, any Friday or Saturday night.

Kabul
"Great food, so-so atmosphere" by Chris (5 reviews)
April 18, 2008 - Delicious good, especially the vegetarian options.  Fabuluos choclate mousse desert (not authentic at all, but tastyand not like any other chocolate dessert I've had before).  Atmosphere isn't anything special.

Bamiyan Afghani Restaurant
"A favorite spot" by Yum (4 reviews)
April 12, 2008 - I go here about once a month.  My family is Seated promptly and the waiter remembers us and what we like.  He is very helpful in navigating the menu and quite attentive. We love the food. My experience has been that everything is fresh. The cucumber and yogurt appetizer is terrific, the kabobs are wonderfully spiced and the Afghani is delicious.  Some of the deserts are made with rose water.
The two menus (Afghani and Persian) can be a little confusing but, they make up for it with great food and service.

Bamiyan Afghani Restaurant
"Excellent Food - Qurunti is yummy :)" by Sarah M. (37 reviews)
October 20, 2007 - I go to Bamiyan at least twice a month and I have never had a bad experience. All of the staff is very willing to provide you with lengthy recommendations (if you are unfamiliar with Afghan/Persian food). I've never had to wait more than a few minutes for a table, and the staff is very attentive. The food is delicious (in my opinion). The Qurunti is superb and I order some everytime I go. I highly recommend this restauraunt :).

Bamiyan Afghani Restaurant
"Avoid this place at all costs!!" by Nancy (1 review)
October 10, 2007 - We ended up going to this place expecting to savor on delicious food similar to the one served in Kabul ( the fantastic restaurant in Seattle). And boy we were in for a BIG disappointment! First and foremost the whole place was empty!...That in itself should have warned us...Anyway we were starving hungry and decided to go ahead with it...Being familiar with the afghani dishes...I was ready with my order but surprise! The waiter was super busy on the phone...Initially I was fine with it thinking that it must be a customer on the phone ..soon realized that he was carrying on a lengthy personal conversation! Finally he arrives and takes our order...Disaster part 2 - The appetizer ( Quruti) is pathetic! Stale bread + Yogurt on top!
We were like ok may be the entrees would be better...My entree was SUCH a disaapointment!!! It was the tarkari which I have eaten in Kabul and it was NOTHING like that! All in all, I think this place needs a new chef, new waiters and above all a management that cares to provide the best to their customers!

Kabul
"Very good indeed." by winharrison (12 reviews)
September 10, 2007 - The staff are polite, fun, interesting and good. The food is wonderful, with for meat lovers, the Qorma-i Tarkari  a high-point. Try to get a seat by the window. Passersby will see you and want to imitate you. You will visibly be having a lot of fun, and they will want to steal some of that from you. Ignore the Pay Day Loans shop across the street. They will - tragically - not be having as much fun as you.

Kabul
"Haute Afghan" by Lani (10 reviews)
July 17, 2007 - I lived in a city that had several very good small Aghan diners with the whole family in the kitchen cooking. For me the food at Kabul, though good, is too upscaled for American food snobs to be really authentic.
Nevertheless, I would highly recommend it for a special dinner or an intro to Afghan cuisine.
