i don't have a big sweet tooth, but there are those times in the middle of the week when i want to sit down to a good dessert wine or glass of port and fork at a piece of cake or hot fudge sunday while thumbing through whatever book i'm currently interested in. it's hard to do this in most restaurants with all the hubbub and distractions and most coffee shops don't have an alcohol list. right now it's between mona's in greenlake and b&o cafe on the hill, but are there any others? |

Eva in Greenlake (actually, near Mona's) has amazing desserts and while it's a dinner place, it's usually pretty quiet (though not uncrowded).

Mid-week you might want to try Tango. They have booths in the bar section, and they have El Diablo -- a chocolate and meringue confection that's probably the best dessert in town.

It seems perfectly acceptable to pop into the lounge at Veil for a drink and dessert, which I highly recommend, though I've ordered the same dessert each time (salted peanut butter ice cream).

hmmm, those all sound like good suggestions. i'll have to put each one on my calendar this month. peanut butter ice cream sounds delish. |
