Oliver's Twist
"champagne cocktails!"
June 03, 2008 - Truffle popcorn!
This is a great place to snack and hang out with friends. Bartenders are knowledgeable and friendly. I like sitting at the bar and watching the orders come in to decide what to try next.

Georgia's Greek Restaurant
"Lamb Sandwich"
May 19, 2008 - Love the dolmas, sandwiches , sweet treats. The wines are cheap and enhance the food quite a bit.
The lamb I had was extremely  tender and juicy.

Monkey Bridge
"Mmmm Shrimp Toast"
May 19, 2008 - I am in love with the Goi Ga ( cabbage chicken salad) and the fresh rolls. My boyfriend thinks their pho is the best in the surrounding neighborhoods.

"Fava fava HEY!"
May 03, 2008 - Fava beans were amazing - especially paired with the rabbit. Sadly by the time we arrived the pork belly was sold out for the night and we made do with the pork tongue unfortunately it  was finished in a vinegar sauce which masked the flavor of the meat.
The meyer lemon dessert was incredible and led to a short tussle over the last bite.
Wine list was interesting but the glass list was sufficient to keep me happy.

"fried banana deliciousness"
April 10, 2008 - Not only do I love the sandwiches but the fried banana rolls are amazing.
Don't forget the cream-puffs!

Bakery Nouveau
"stuff dreams are made of"
April 10, 2008 - The sugar brioche, the croissants, the  rhubarb strawberry tarts...
The flavors of some of their simpler items are really telling of the mastery of the staff. Don't pass on the coffee either their baristas are skilled.
I'm not sure why everyone is so addicted to their almond croissants and chocolate croissants. Too rich and sweet.

Ocho
"I heart mushroom toast"
April 10, 2008 - I heart everything about this place.  My boyfriend and I have sampled most of the menu during an extended evening and had a great time.
We've been back a few more times and it was splendiferous
every-time.
I recommend sitting at the bar so you can talk to the knowledgeable  bar staff and  your neighbors about your next drink or food choice.

Nervous Nellie's Espresso Co.
"Todd is magic"
April 10, 2008 - Every shot of espresso pulled here is smooth and velvety.
Don't pass on the Swedish toast either - I recommend cheese with marmalade.

Cupcake Royale (and Cafe Verite)
"Saddest Cupcake."
April 10, 2008 - I want to like the place but I just can't get into their espresso.  Although when the Rwandan roast is their French press get some!
The cupcakes are just too dry it makes me sad to see cupcakes treated that way.

"Sauce Please"
April 09, 2008 - If I could bathe in the smoky red sauce that is on the tables here I would. Without a doubt a carnivorous  experience but a tasty one. The sandwiches are enhanced by the condiments offered and if you can get extra chorizo do!

Lovely Hula Hands
"lovely roast hen"
April 10, 2008 - Cozy spot upstairs with a lovely view.
We were well taken care of by our server and she adeptly  helped us decide on dishes that would pair well with the Beaujolais that I choose. The plates were passed so we could all sample and there was a tussle over the short ribs toward the end of dinner.
All in all a wonderful experience.

Guu With Garlic
"Love at first bite."
May 19, 2008 - The chefs have rockstar hair and have the music turned up. The menu is diverse  and I can say that it's the first place that I've loved beef tongue. The takoyaki was amazing.
Service was fast and pleasant - sit at the bar for the best experience.
