Chiso
"Great Place"
April 12, 2008 - The fish is exceptional. The service is prompt, friendly and efficient.  I get the sashimi special at lunch and it is delicious. The place is below street level but nicely done.  It is always busy but, I've never waited more than a few minutes.

Blue C Sushi
"Questionable fish - bad attitude"
April 12, 2008 - I kinda like conveyor belt sushi. It makes for a nice change and can be very efficient. Unfortunately, this place doesn't want to seat you in a booth unless you have four people (even if they are empty). The staff is somewhere between unmotivated and surly.  The sushi is nothing special; even given the business model.  There are definitely better choices in Fremont.

Bamiyan Afghani Restaurant
"A favorite spot"
April 12, 2008 - I go here about once a month.  My family is Seated promptly and the waiter remembers us and what we like.  He is very helpful in navigating the menu and quite attentive. We love the food. My experience has been that everything is fresh. The cucumber and yogurt appetizer is terrific, the kabobs are wonderfully spiced and the Afghani is delicious.  Some of the deserts are made with rose water.
The two menus (Afghani and Persian) can be a little confusing but, they make up for it with great food and service.

Tropea Ristorante Italiano
"Great food, friendly feeling"
April 12, 2008 - This place isn't too fancy but the food is good, the sauces are well spiced and not salty. the fish is not overcooked. Portions are large. The owner seems genuinely concerned that you had enough to eat and enjoyed it.
