Jai Thai (Fremont)
"Sit in the front window seating"
May 06, 2008 - my friends and I love going to Jai Thai in Fremont. Not only is the food always delicious but the place is so cute. The little front window seat is great. You can sit down and relax in the pillows. The service is wonderful too.

Norm's Eatery & Ale House
"Bring Fido along"
May 06, 2008 - My friend and I took our dogs out for dinner here. It was so nice to go to a place that you can bring your dog in and have them sit on the seat with you! I would say if you aren't a dog lover you may not want to come here on a nice day for dinner. The food was great too. It was a really fun dinner.

Red Door
"Like the bar but not the food."
May 06, 2008 - I enjoy going to the Red Door on a Fri/Sat night. In the summer time it is hard to beat the outdoor patio. The food however is a different story. I swear the food I got tasted like it was made 5 hours before and microwaved for 30 seconds. Gross.

Mad Pizza (Fremont)
"Great pizza and nice guys"
May 06, 2008 - They have some good lunch deals here. The pizza is fabulous. I love their crust and I am not a vegetarian but they have good vege options for those who are. The guys that work here are so nice and friendly too.

Costas Opa Greek Restaurant
"Great service"
May 06, 2008 - This place always has the best service. The people are so nice and friendly. We came in with a big group and had to move tables around and they were so accomodating. I love a good gyro and this place has great ones!

Ballroom
"Huge Pizza Slices"
May 06, 2008 - The pizza slices are huge! You get a lot for your money. I think they were $5 and some change and I only needed one. Also getting a whole huge pizza and sharing it with a group of friends on the patio will be a fun summer day event :)

Zayda Buddy's Pizza
"Tater Tot Casserole was good"
May 06, 2008 - I disagree with the review below. I also had the tater tot casserole and I thought it was great. I have had it many times and this one was just as good. I thought the place was cute. I didn't have any of the pizza but my friends seemed to like it a lot.

Palermo
"Love it"
May 06, 2008 - I really like Palermo's. I went with a friend and split a carafe of wine, a salad and pizza and I was suprised how inexpensive it was. They have so many differnet kinds of pizza it would be tough to get bored of this place. I loved the Greco!  Also the service was so attentive and great.

Matador
"Awesome place"
May 06, 2008 - I love this place. The tacos are so good and the decor is beautiful. In the summer the outdoor seating is a must but get there early because this place really fills up. My only gripe is that I wish it were bigger. It would be a fun bar to go to on Fri/Sat but the bar is very small.

Malena's Taco Shop (Ballard)
"Cheap and good"
May 06, 2008 - Loved it. The place is cheap, fast and good. For a casual lunch it's perfect. And it isn't too busy since it isn't on the main drag in Ballard.

Hale's Ales Brewpub
"Blah"
May 06, 2008 - Hale's food is too exspensive for what you get. It is just regular nothing special pub food. Also I found the staff to be particularly unhelpful. I have been here a few times and every time I wonder why I went.

La Isla
"Tasty!"
May 06, 2008 - I thought the food was great. The fried plantains were different but very good. It was a tad on the expensive side but I'll go again. I haven't been to the happy hour but heard its a good deal so I'll try that next time.

Hi-Life
"Terrible"
May 06, 2008 - When I went to the Hi-Life I was excited since it's in the cool old firhouse building. The building is awesome but that is all the Hi-Life has going for it. When I ordered my first 2 options were "out". How does a restaurant run out of a couple menu items? They place wasn't even that busy. Then when I finally got my thrid choice of chicken wings they were terrible! I'm not sure how you screw up wings but at the Hi-Life they managed it. I would not go back to this place again which is sad since the building is so great.

King's Hardware
"No good"
May 06, 2008 - The burgers are marginal and the service is down right rude. King's does have two skee ball tables and an outdoor patio which is fun in the summer but I just can't get over how unfriendly the staff is. I have been going there every Wednesday for close to 2 years (since my friend like it) and they are still unfriendly. I just don't understand that. Now that the Loft is open just down the street I won't be going back to King's.
