Palace Kitchen "Great deluxe burger" December 31, 2006 - They have a simple menu that allows them to do a great job on each item. I'm usually happy with just the deluxe burgers, although I've had their other entrees and been very satisfied. |

Fish Club "Great food and service" December 31, 2006 - I rarely miss the $12.5 lunch specials during the 25 (restaurants) for $25 event in March and November, and this was my favorite restaurant. Their bread - foccacia and olive rustic bread - is great, and the food is amazing. The service also very good, and the decor is colorful and well-composed.. For diners who don't work downtown, free valet service is available through the Marriott. |

94 Stewart "Amazing food, cosy atmosphere" December 31, 2006 - I found this place on the Feast at the Market, and it was one of my favorite restaurants at that event. They use simple ingredients to create some very impressive dishes. 2 people like this review - Recommend |

Via Tribunali "GREAT pizza in an amazing brick building" December 31, 2006 - Their thin crust pizza is amazing and brings back fond memories of pizza I had at one of the first pizza places in Naples. They have two kinds of prosciutto pizza, and personally I think the dry cured (crudo) kind is tastier than the cooked (cotto) version. It's probably the salt... 1 person likes this review - Recommend |

Ivar's Salmon House "Great seafood and crab bisque in an old Seattle building" December 31, 2006 - Ivar's is an institution, and this location has some many Native American details that it could probably qualify as a museum. That works well with the authentic Northwest seafood, including my personal favorite, their crab bisque. Some items can be purchased from their drive-up window, but not the crab bisque, sadly. |

Agua Verde "Great food and views of Portage Bay" December 31, 2006 - They have different dinner specials each night, and my favorite is Monday's special, Pollo en mole. The views of the water and the sunsets (in the summer) are great. |

Leschi Lake Cafe & Gbb Bar "GREAT view of Lake Washington, good food" December 31, 2006 - There are tons of seats with an amazing view of Lake Washington, and during the summer they will let you take the one outside table if you ask...All of the food is good there, although I usually go for the excellent house-ground sirloin steak burger. |

Thai Ginger "Good food for restaurant dinning or takeout" December 31, 2006 - Reasonable prices and quick cooking for last-minute takeout. |
Madison Park Cafe "Great breakfast, although the wait can be painful" December 31, 2006 - I've had breakfast there a few times, and the food was always great. They usually have less common options like Strata, which is an Italian egg dish made with chunks of bread, sausage, etc. Each breakfast item usually comes with a scone, muffin, or slice of coffee cake, and costs about $10. The downside is that the wait can easily be 30 minutes on a weekend, although it seems to get better after about 12:30pm. |

Cafe Flora "Great brunch options" December 31, 2006 - They make an amazing sweet potato quesadilla with eggs. |
Chinoise Café (Madison) "Good sushi and fushion dishes" December 31, 2006 - I've had some very good sushi at the Chinoise Cafe in Madison, including an ornate dragon roll that really looked like a dragon. They also do a good job putting an Asian spin on dishes like a rack of lamb. |
Harvest Vine "Great Basque "small plate" bar" December 31, 2006 - The dishes are great, although small and pricey. The best way to enjoy a meal is at the copper bar in front of the open kitchen, since you can see the chefs preparing and presenting all of the food. |
Attic Ale House & Eatery "Sports bar with good burgers and beer" December 31, 2006 - The Attic is primarily a sports bar, and there are TVs everywhere. The food is good, as is their beer selection. |
Cactus "Great Tex-Mex food by the beach" December 31, 2006 - I've always enjoyed the food at Cactus, and the food tastes great _and_ is well presented. Personally, I always look for some dish with mole, although I've tried a wide assortment of meat and vegetarian dishes and they were all good. The margaritas are good, although their mojitos are better. |
Cafe Lago "Delicate lasagna and other great rustic Italian food" December 31, 2006 - This is a great place if you like Italian pasta, since everyone loves the impossibly light lasagna and the gnocchi. Personally, I _always_ go for the steak, since they prepare it with a slice of Gorgonzola on top and tons of mild balsamic vinegar. The antipasto appetizer is great, especially if you want some salami and prosciutto but are having pasta as your entree. |
Madison Park Bakery "Great bakery in Madison Park" December 31, 2006 - They have all of the usual baked items, plus specialties like mini cinnamon buns. I have fond memories of eating the raspberry buns as a kid, although lately I've fallen for their almond danish, which has almond paste instead of cream cheese. The Chocolate Ganache cupcakes are also great. The prices are very reasonable, and the selection is amazing. |
