Mamma Melina Ristorante "Date spot." March 27, 2008 - Romantic, and cozy. It kinda has the intimate lighting going on, which is nice. some seats don't have too much privacy, so be wary about that. Food is good, and portions are very adequate. If you're going out on a date, it's wonderful because you don't leave feeling too full, such that you can either run back home to get something for dessert or to stay around instead. Parking is out on the street-it's a good idea to park perhaps on the street west of roosevelt, if you can't find any on roosevelt. |

Gordito's Healthy Mexican Food "It's a tradeoff" March 27, 2008 - Ok, so basically these burritos are crude. That is to say, they large, and kinda excessive. However, because they are large, they can satisfy any hungry stomach and then some. In addition, you can bring half of it back for another satisfying meal at home or at work. A friend of mine contrasted Gorditos to Chipotle-Chipotle tastes better, but Gorditos definately steals the value crown away. In my opinion-well, I'm a college student and i'm frugal. So I think you guys know what I would choose. And also, it's kinda following culture to say that "yes, i've eaten a burrito grande at gorditos." Definately recommended though. |

Cafe Campagne "Great place, but with a couple reservations" March 27, 2008 - Let's just say, I like to think of this place as a cute dating spot-however it can get rather noisy there. I remember once i went there and it was hardly loud, but the next time i went, it was kinda chaotic. Choose your times wisely-food is good. Parking is kinda crappy, but it's downtown-what do you expect? 2 people like this review - Recommend |

Baguette Box "Ah, the Baguette Box" March 27, 2008 - Ok, so basically, I cannot say this place is necessarily "cheap," in comparison to like vietnamese sandwiches, but some of their sandwiches are just ridiculously good. the drunken chicken is a safe bet, as well as the lemongrass steak is another great option. It's definately not the 'sit-down-and talk' type of place, it's more of a 'grab n' leave' join, so do not expect to stay there unless it's a party of two and you don't mind sitting in really small chairs or stools. But overall, good is great. Definately recommended. 1 person likes this review - Recommend |

Bluefin "The Food is beyond Subpar...=[" December 24, 2007 - My buddies and I went to Bluefin, and we found bluefin to be pretty unsatisfactory. The warm food has not aroused my tastebuds, and the sushi is cut rather poor. I have been to bluefin twice, and both times were unsatisfactory. If you want sushi, go to canada, out of state (preferably california, maybe new york, hawaii, maybe florida-who knows), or go to your local raved-about japanese sushi joint in seattle/international district. 10 people like this review - Recommend |

Thai One on "Good thing this place isn't in the U-district" October 06, 2007 - and this isn't because the U-district is subpar-it's because if it was in the U-district, it would easily go out of businessPerhaps I went there at a bad time or something, but service was rather POOR (25 minutes for phad thai not-busy) and the food was not good. I ordered phad kee mow, and it didn't taste like anything. Bottom line, the food was not good, and they charged me for rice (even though every single thai place gives complementary rice...) so anyways, yeah. |

Haroo Japanese Restaurant "It's not just Japanese..." August 07, 2007 - Ok, so for those of you who have visited the Four Seasons Japanese/Korean restaurant (in Shoreline) and know their food, it is basically the same. Haroo is owned by the same guy who used to run Four Seasons. However, I would say Haroo owns the Four Seasons in their Korean fare. Typically, such 'Japanese' restaurants are owned by Korean folk-so that korean fare is also served. IT IS GOOD. People that love the health-conscious dish SoonDooBoo, Haroo by far has the best SoonDooBoo. I've been to the usual suspects: Old Village, Hosoonyi, BCD, Four Seasons, and many others-Haroo has the best SoonDooBoo, despite it's title has a Japanese Restaurant.All-in-all, I know the owner of this restaurant, and I plan to revisit Haroo many times in the future. I hope to add more material on their sushi and japanese fare. But if you want SoonDooBoo, this is the place to go! |

Four Seasons Japanese Restaurant "Japanese Restaurant-is simply a misnomer" July 22, 2007 - I've grown up to this restaurant, and I must say that it's food is marvelous. On the flip side, the management has been struggling recently. I personally go to Four Seasons just for the soon doo boo (tofu soup). Their 'sides' are pretty good-better than most I've seen in the shoreline-north seattle end. If you want a pretty good Korean restaurant, Four Seasons is a safe bet, along with the Old Village, and Hosoonyi. (though, I never go to the old village or hosoonyi these days). |

Old Village Korean Restaurant "Far cleaner than before" July 22, 2007 - They have made some serious renovations in the past year, and it appears that it's paying off. However, for their soondooboo, they put bulgogi in it-personally the sweet meat is not my favorite thing in a spicy-garlicky soup. But that's just simply a personal preference (what can i say, i'm a soondooboo freak). I've heard from others that the mool-neng-myun (cold noodles) give somewhat smaller portions than more korean places. Otherwise, they have been progressing positively. |
