VoilĂ "Good Pork Chop" April 05, 2008 - This was my second visit to Voila. Myself and three friends decided to try it out again since we had such a good experience the first time.I noticed one other review that said to avoid Voila due to the bad service. On this visit and our first visit we had the same (bald) waiter. Both times he was a very good waiter, so I'm hoping that the other reviewer caught this waiter having a bad day, but I hope they will try Voila again and not be turned away by that one experience because they do have good food.On this visit, I tried the Pork Chop. It was quite tasty. It was very tender and was seasoned with Extra Virgin Olive Oil, Garlic, Lemon and Herbs. For the sides, we went with the Green Beans and Frites. The Green Beans were good, but the Frites could have had more flavor. For dessert we had the Lemon Tart and Creme Brulee. Both were very tasty and I recommend them both. We finished them off with a nice cup of Caffe Umbria coffee. |

Betty "Perfect Chicken" March 08, 2008 - My friends and I planned a Friday night dinner at Betty on Queen Anne. The week prior we had tried to just walk in for dinner, but with Betty's popularity it would have been over two hours before we would have been seated. So we decided to go to another restaurant for dinner, but told each other that we would definitely be back to try their food. My stomach growled as we left Betty due to the wonderful aroma of food. On this visit we were prepared. We made reservations and were finally able to try Betty's seemingly popular menu. I liked the layout of Betty. It is a nice, clean, simple restaurant.I started with a mixed green salad topped with a light viniagrette and mozzarella cheese. This was one of the better salads I've tasted in quite a while. The greens were colorful and fresh, and I love shaved mozzarella on a salad, especially when it is served with a healthy portion. Before dinner my friends and I enjoyed some drinks. I tried the Crow Manhattan. Crow is the sister restaurant to Betty, both owned by the same owners. This was slightly different version to the classic Manhattan. This was a good drink to start before the entree was served. It's a good thing we started with some drinks as it took a while to receive our food. Betty is a popular restaurant, and with that comes the wait for your food from a very busy kitchen.Like I said, we had to wait a while for our food to be served. But let me tell you, the wait was well worth it. I ordered the pan roasted chicken served with mixed vegetables and mashed potatoes. The mixed vegetables were green beans and roasted garlic. The beans were cooked perfectly with just the right amount of crispness. The potatoes were whipped to a nice consistency, and were surprisingly flavorful. I'm saving the best for last. The chicken breast was cooked to absolute perfection. The skin was cooked to a golden brown and it wasn't too crispy. The chicken meat was some of the juiciest I've ever tasted. Only a few other times have I ever had the chicken meat almost melt in my mouth, it was so tender. The spices and herbs seared into the skin gave the chicken perfect flavor. The chicken breast was a generous portion. I would have eaten the bone too if I could. I highly recommend the chicken, and I look forward to coming back to try the tenderloin which looked mighty tasty also. Even though there was a slight mixup on our bill, that still didn't dampen my experience at Betty. 2 people like this review - Recommend |

Union Square Grill "Great food, great atmosphere....." October 19, 2007 - I recently had dinner at the Union Square Grill for the first time for a friend's birthday. Their pork chops are delicious! It's a little on the pricey side, but with the great food, service and atmosphere, it was well worth it! If you like art deco, this is definitely the place to go. |

Bennett's Pure Food Bistro "Great Dinner...." August 12, 2007 - Well I made it back to Bennett's to try their dinner menu. I had the Harissa Chicken. The chicken was cooked perfectly. The potatoes and vegetables were also very good. I highly recommend this dinner! I can't wait to go back to try more selections. |

Torchy's Restaurant and Wine Bar "Decent Breakfast..." August 06, 2007 - The weekend breakfast at Torchy's is decent. I had the pancakes and two over-easy eggs, although the eggs were more fried than over-easy. The service was kind of sketchy at first. I would have expected top-notch service at a restaurant in the Washington Athletic Club. 1 person likes this review - Recommend |

Café Presse "Great food, great wine, great atmosphere" August 04, 2007 - I finally had dinner at Cafe Presse, and it was certainly worth the wait. We started with a red French wine, which was one of the best French wines I've tasted. The French bread and butter served with our drinks was perfect. I'm a sucker for good French bread. I had the steak & frites. The steak was cooked medium-well, and was cooked perfectly. Surprisingly it was very tender. The steak and frites were served in a French onion sauce. The frites were also some of the best I've ever tasted. I will most definitely be back to try more off the menu. |

Roanoke Inn "Decent breakfast..." July 29, 2007 - I've gone to the Roanoke Inn quite a few times mainly for dinner, but have had breakfast there a few times. My most recent visit was typical of all prior visits, good. The service can be spotty at times. Sometimes the server can leave you wondering if they've already gone home for the day. |

Bennett's Pure Food Bistro "Good Lunch..." July 29, 2007 - I had the grilled chicken sandwich. The sandwich was very tasty, and was accompanied with large slices of honeydew and cantaloupe, very nice. This was my first visit to Bennett's and I look forward to coming back for dinner. |

Acapulco Fresh Mexican Grill (Redmond) "Always good food" July 23, 2007 - Even though I don't live near Redmond, I still find myself traveling to the Eastside just to eat at Acapulco Fresh. I wish they would open one in Seattle!! I always get the chicken taco dinner. The ingredients are always so fresh, and the chicken is seasoned just right. I top it off with one of their delicious salsas at their salsa bar. I'll keep traveling to Redmond just for those tacos! |

Charlie's on Broadway "Great Comfort Food" July 22, 2007 - Charlie's has always been one of my favorite restaurants for comfort food. Their menu offers a list of standards, but they also have an insert that changes quite often. Tonight I had dinner with some friends and I decided to try a new item on their menu 'Honey-Pecan Chicken'. I was pleasantly surprised with this dish. The chicken had a great honey flavor, and it was topped with pecans (almost too many). The chicken was paired with rice pilaf and a vegetable medley. The meal also came with a dinner salad, which is one of my favorites. |

Angelina's Trattoria "One of my favorites..." July 22, 2007 - Angelina's is one of my favorite restaurants in the Seattle area. I've probably been to this restaurant more than any other. My constant favorite dish is their Chicken Marsala accompanied with a salad and a glass of Cianti. The service is always great, and their breakfasts are good too! I recommend the Admiral Scramble. |

Osteria la Spiga "Great Food" July 22, 2007 - I've only been to la Spiga once and the lasagna was delicious. I never made it to la Spiga at their old location, but I really like their new digs. |

Barolo Ristorante (Metropolitan Tower) "Terrific Food, Great Service" July 22, 2007 - I've been to Barolo twice. The second time was for my Birthday. Both visits were very enjoyable. The food, wine and desserts were all great, and the service was spectacular. During my first visit the waiter was so professional I felt as if I was at a 5 Star New York restaurant. He paid attention to every detail. For my second visit (Birthday), we had a party of 10 people. Our waiter was very patient with us and made our dining experience very enjoyable. I look forward to my next visit! |
